I am not sure if this is superior to others because of their amount or just because it was my first time using it. At first, meaning the first bottle. I achieved a great effect when using about 20 drops that felt like a rush/punch in the face. I wasn't looking for anything but a mild anxiolytic, and I think it does that sometimes, and other times I have a paradoxical reaction where it makes me panic more. I do react extremely strangely to things, but Kava almost seems to heighten my awareness which can sometimes randomly decrease or increase my anxiety. It also gave me a mild desire of increased interest with my first bottle. These effects were never replicated again when stopping it, and then trying it later for what I thought was tolerance. It also is short acting. Maybe like 1 hour for me, and creates insane levels of nausea that personally lasted over 1 day from one use. Product is legit, and good though which is what the consumer cares about, and what has influenced this rating.

I actually felt the Kava kick in within the first few minutes. As a matter of fact, I’m writing this review because I’m in an upbeat mood after taking the Kava. It’s a great product. But the taste is horrible! Lol I was thinking about putting it under my tongue without any juice. That would’ve been a mistake! It says to put one dropper in 2 ounces of water or juice. I put it 8 ounces of juice and the taste was still pretty strong. It also made my tongue feel a little numb for a few minutes. Nothing crazy. But honestly, I’m super skeptical about products stating that it would put you in a better mood or mood enhancers. But this is legit.

This is the best Kava product on Amazon. It's expensive comparatively to some other but you get what you pay for. The good: Instant soothing effect, reduces stress, helps sleep. The bad: expensive. You have to use quite a bit. Five/ten drops you aren't going to feel much. Takes around 20 drops.

I feel like it does relax me pretty well. The effect is subtle but noticeable. It doesn’t make me drowsy or too relaxed. If I’m feeling anxious before bed it can get me more relaxed and comfy making it easier to fall asleep but not knocking me out like a sleeping pill would. One problem I have is that it doesn’t last very long. I’ll typically feel it for maybe less than 30 mins. Not a huge problem when trying to fall asleep but if you wanted to use this for anxiety through out the day you’ll probably end up having to redose. My family members have also tried it and it seems to work even better for them. I just shoot the dropper into my mouth or sometimes I’ll put it in a drink. In the mouth it can burn and it doesn’t taste great but in a drink it’s not that bad. I have never tried any other kava products besides this and some kava pills so idk how it compares. Compared to the pills though this was better for me. It’s a bit pricey IMO but if you don’t take it too often it can last you a pretty long time. Overall I like it. I think at this point I’ve bought this like 3-4 times. Maybe I’ll buy another bottle again once this one runs out.

I make no claim to being an expert on kava kava, and I will continue to experiment with larger doses of this, but I tried the 1-2 drops suggested by another reviewer and felt nothing (other than the bad taste). Then I tried half the bottle recommended dose, and finally 1.5x that (the bottle recommends 40 drops in water, 2-3 times a day). I admit I didn't do it 2-3 times, but other than numb mouth, I didn't feel any different (calmer or more relaxed). The taste is like sour dirt, and no, it's not a good kind of dirt. It's not vomit inducing, but I doubt many people will actually like it. I tried mixing it with passion fruit juice (which is very strong), and I could still taste the kava. Also, it seemed to change my sense of smell, as if a lot of things smelled like the kava for the next few days. I'll try upping my dose and I'll report back if it deems changing my point of view, but so far, I can't recommend this product.

I’ve been using this Kava tincture for years—just as needed—and it consistently delivers. If you’re looking for something to take the edge off anxiety, restlessness, or even nerve issues like sciatica, this is a solid go-to. Just don’t expect it to replace alcohol. It doesn’t last that long, and it won’t get you tipsy—this is more chill vibes, not party mode. Yes, it burns a little going down. It’s a concentrated root extract, not a fruit smoothie—so chase it with something or mix it if you’re delicate. (You’re not alone!) Probably not a great idea for daily use as I can cause kidney damage, but as an occasional tool in the stress-reduction toolkit, it’s gold.

Low potency. I started my kava journey with powdered roots, a filter mesh, and the whole nine yards. So I know what kava is supposed to be like. This brand recommends 3-4 drops with water which does jack squat even after shaking the bottle vigorously. Eventually I had to basically pour directly from the bottle which equaled 8-9 servings to get the same effect. Servings? What do you call it when you use the whole dripper. Unfortunately I had bought several brands of extracts and I forgot which one was good so I purchased this again later and it turns out that this one was the mid one. Does it contain kava? yes. Put a few drops on your tongue directly and you'll get the mouth numbing feeling that kava is supposed to have. Is it a lot? No. Follow the directions and you'll feel nothing. There is a REASON that kava can replace alcohol for many people eventually leading up to full sobriety. That relaxation is very acute and NOT something that you can just feel like a "vibe" or a placebo. Does it work? Yes. If you want to get a whiff of what kava, similar to standing outside a restaurant smelling its food, then this can work for you. I recommend a few drops on your tongue, swish it around, and then drink it with water when its mostly saliva. Oh, also it's sweet for some reason.

Has a dreadful, earthy alcohol taste. I took 2 0.7ml directly to the mouth. May have had a slight relaxing effect.

Tastes pretty baf, but it works

I’ve tried plenty of Kava and love the effects, however the method to make it is inconvenient. I thought this would be a great alternative but unfortunately it does absolutely nothing. It tastes (disgustingly) like Kava, but has zero of the effects. Don’t waste your money and try a reputable vendor .
