![Ginger Snaps: Unleashed [DVD] (2004)](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/411ysH9sAaL.jpg)

Sequel to the 2000 black comedy horror 'Ginger Snaps'. Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle reprise their roles as sisters Ginger and Brigitte Fitzgerald. Brigitte (Perkins), infected with the tainted wolfsblood of her dead sister, Ginger (Isabelle), is incarcerated in an asylum for the insane - and denied the regular doses of Monkshood she needs to control her werewolf transformations. Before long the inmates start to die mysteriously, their corpses all bearing the same trademark bite-sized flesh holes. Is Brigitte responsible, or could there be another werewolf stalking the dark corridors of the asylum? Review: great - great Review: Best in the series - Personally, I enjoyed this film the most of the 'Ginger Snaps' trilogy. This is a little more darker than the first installment. If you enjoy Independent film or the horror genre, then definitely give this movie a go.

Good for completely different reasons.
The first and second films are very different purely because of the subject matter they deal with. The first film to me was good but nothing amazingly special because it dealt with the tired and over used "teenage angst, growing up and relationships" themes that we have seen in every horror film/story since the first shaman jumped out and said boo around a campfire ten thousand years ago. What makes this film stand apart from its predecessor is its themes are identity, morality and the nature of sanity, while yes these have been done before in horror films they haven't been done as much. Because of this more internalised story the films mood has a more claustrophobic feel and holds you in more suspense than its predecessor, It's also a more visually interesting film having more of a budget and a more confident crew, there are more interesting angles and effects that make it more pleasing to the eye. I suppose where this film could fall down is that no matter how much you dumb down the central subjects its still a lot to ask from a low budget horror flick to effectively carry or convey without it becoming a no budget drama, but for me it works without becoming intellectual, boring or overriding the actual horror. The themes just sit nicely in the background so you can seem them if you want or ignore them if your not interested and its nice to see someone at least trying something different from the normal recipe.

ginger snaps 2
Ginger snaps is a trilogy. Ginger snaps - unleashed is number 2 in the trilogy. The 3rd Ginger snaps film is a prequil. These are werewolf movies with a bit of a comic book feel to them. A girl named Ginger gets bitten by a werewolf and also infects her sister. If your a fan of the werewolf genre you would love this movie. I had seen the three movies before on tv so I knew what I was buying. I didn't buy number 3 because I didn't like that one I thought it got a bit silly.

The pact!
Carrying on a little later Bridget is now cursed and is trying to keep it at bay whilst being hunted by other werewolves and struggling with what happened to her sister, she's eventually admitted to a psych unit but the curse follows her. A great follow up, I wish there were more horror films in the werewolf genre as well done as this!

a dissapointing sequel.
Ginegr Snaps Unleashed is a dissapointing sequel to the first film which was marvellous. Emily Perkins still does a good job in playing Bridgitte who is also now becoming a werewolf just like her older sister, however she wants to prevent in going the same demise as Ginger went through in the previous film. The supporting characters in the film are lacklustre and the twist at the end was okay. The ending is a complete downer.
