Junk
I spent maybe 2 hours knelling on the ground, not plopping down on concrete or being abusive, and these things broke. The first time out the rivets popped out. These would be OK for a costume but they wouldn't hold up to any degree of work. Hell, I bet they wouldn't hold up to kids playing in the yard. I gave Rothco the benefit of the doubt and contacted them about the issue thinking it might just be a defective pair but they didn't even have the courtesy to reply. I guess they know these things are junk too. You will be able to see from the photos that they were new and barely used before breaking. I recommend looking somewhere other than Rothco for pads.

Don't buy it, you get what you pay for.
What a piece of garbage. Rothco claims to make products for real use, but apparently these are just for show. When I talked to friends after I bought this about Rothco, they all said that these items are shoddily made. These kneepads came apart within the first hour of use. The plate separated from the pad in multiple places on both kneepads, and this was with light use. I've used other kneepads before and never had such a failure.

A Good Novelty or Prop Item
I don't think many people seem to realize that these are not for actual use as tactical elbow pads. The price alone should be a dead give away. However for novelty and prop uses these are fantastic. Inexpensive and durable enough to make a military costume complete. I purchased mine for a ghostbusters costume that came out great! They lasted the entire shoot with me being dragged about and then slimed. I was happy enough to use it for Halloween as well that year. I think you will be satisfied with this product if you realize they are inexpensive non functional (as actual tactical pads) Props.

Solid but sweat-inducing
These are roof-fitter/painter type knee pads that are very comfortable when protecting knees against rocky or hard surfaces. They are nicely padded and so long as you don't move around too much, quite comfortable. The velcro straps are a bit short but just about do the job of holding the pads in place. My only issue is that because the straps necessarily hold the pads tightly in place (otherwise they'd slip about and the knee would make contact with hard ground) they do create a lot of sweating and ultimately chaffing if you wear them for more than an hour or so, and have to move about a lot during that time.

Great, Versatile, Affordable, Tough.
These knee pads are great, they fit great just have to be adjusted, they are one size fits all, so if you are scrawny you may want to get something more fitted. These work great for airsofting, paintballing, mountain biking, snowboarding, Halloween military costumes, hiking, camping etc. Simply from keeping your knee from getting hurt. They are comfortable and padded and adjustable, but be aware they will not supplement actual knee pads meant for specific things, think of these as a supplemental back up that is affordable, universal for whatever it is you do I actually do all those things mentioned up top so I can tell you they work just be aware of there limits... would recommend to anyone.

Colors are different than pictured(camo). Darker.
Beware buying these if you need them to match OCPs. The ones I received were a very dark green all around, not even close to what was pictured. Had to return item since I couldn't use it in uniform.

Could be better
I bought these for Tough Mudder. They didn't soak up a lot of water, and were comfortable enough to run in without chaffing my legs. They performed as expected during the crawling obstacles, but one of the rivets tore off. Also, the front plate likes to scoop up mud. And with as smooth as they are on the front, they would sometimes suction themselves to the mud. However they never came off and never needed adjustment throughout the whole event.

I regret this purchase
Cheaply made. Strap and buckle broke off one of the pads the second time I wore them. Very disappointed in the quality of this product.Do not waste your money on this. Spend a few extra dollars and get something that will last
