Great value, perfect for a vegan
As a vegan with IBS it has been a challenge to find protein powder. There are so many additives and flavors, and most of the plant proteins like pea proteins are high FODMAP which is terrible for IBS. Also it was affordable unlike pumpkin or hemp proteins. While rice protein is not considered a complete protein, you can easily take a lyesine pill to make it a complete protein; rice protein ls have lyesine just not enough per serving. I personally love this because it has little to no taste. I could drink it in a glass of water and barely notice it, or add it to my favorite smoothie or yogurt or oatmeal. It also does not have a strong smell at all. It doesn't eat up all your calories for the day so if you are like me and just relatively sedentary at a desk job trying to meet the protein recommendations, it is perfect. If you are trying to bulk up, this provides the protein not the calories. It is a huge container with a lot of empty space. I don't know if that is necessary but it does make storage difficult. Yes, you definitely get a lot of value for your money, but there is no reason for the container to be so large. Overall a great product, affordable by comparison, lasts a whole month, easy to mix in, and won't make you pack on the weight just to meet your protein goals.

It's exactly what it says it is, and that's perfect.
If you are looking for a great cheap Rice Protein this is the one. The taste isn't great but if you mix another protein with flavor it mixes great as a added protein. It's terrific for stomach problems like Chrohns and IBS has a lot of fiber and iron so it keeps you pooping without having watery diarrhea and gas. Definitely my go to rice protein.

Organic and good protein source
Glad to see it’s organic so hopefully no glyphosates. Blends up easily with a shaker ball and flavor not bad however I do add cocoa and agave. Good source of protein!

Bad taste but good protein source.
Taste terrible but it's a good protein powder besides that. I have to mix it with something to cover up the taste. Trying to avoid whey proteins.

Nutricost Organic Rice Protein Powder (5 LB) - Gluten-Free, GMO-Free (from Brown Rice)
Just received, first time use of this product. Hopeful for it's specifications - all, calories, protein, sodium, simplicity and non-flavored and this time - reasonable price it seems. So for me, I look for places to simply add it and not be a "special task" - so far so good, it's flavor is neutral as if put a rice grain in you mouth and how that may taste - not much, nothing IMO. I don't get any bad-taste feedback, make no sense to me in what I got - 5lb container and with exp date about 2 - 2.5 years out. The scoop was a challenge to retrieve - way at the bottom and not willing to bury my hand in my "uncooked" food ingredient - that would spoil it over time. It is really "static" charged so, kind of went "everywhere" but in an annoying dusty clingy way - but, just saying - glad to know it is packed dry! So, in comparison to other used a) years ago and b) recent restarting it this looks like a good thing for me. The other was, well - the opposite of this if even claimed as "clean" - not how I define it and how this seems to be - a minimally processed protein extraction without any bizarre artificial flavor or texture. Oh, yes and this seemed to dissolve readily in a warmed liquid, e.g. filtered water, other. However, does settle which is not a problem and easily mixes back in. (Basically I've taken to drinking high protein morning coffee - equally charging and satisfying as the caffeine. No digestion issues at all for me. And, important to me - the container it is in a - sturdy and protective container, very well, double sealed - for all those gently handling folks that handle it prior to getting it to me. So, so far a good experience. So, rarely heard from me esp at this early point in the use of anything - I'd "recommend" trying it and the only one of any I've used recently that I would.

Consume at your own risk. Nutricost cannot produce a Third-Party Certificate of Analysis.
Brown rice proteins are notorious for containing arsenic as a result of of the rice absorbing it from the soil. Nutricost claims to third-party test for heavy metals such as arsenic leading you to think their products are safe. I contacted them over a month ago about receiving the Certificate of Analysis (COA) from the third-party tester for this brown rice protein powder. They continue to string me along and say they'll send it over, but they never do. This leads me to believe their products contain unsafe levels of toxins and heavy metals. What are they hiding? Supremely disappointed in Nutricost. Buy and consume at your own risk!
