Diesel Heater 8KW, HBH1S 12V Parking Diesel Air Heater All in One with App Control, 10-Temperature Settings, Auto Start-Stop and Fast Heating, 110V AC & 12V 24V DC, for Car, RV, Campers

I am using this unit to heat my 2 car garage in winter. This heater had preformed flawlessly all winter long. Great value compared to a propane heater. Also very quiet. The amount of heat this thing puts off is amazing for its size. Also love it doesn't raise humidity like a propane heater would.

Worked right out of the box. Initial startup had a lot of white smoke. After running about 7 min. the smoke stopped and didn't return with subsequent startups. Temperature was very hot. The noise lever wasn't too bad. The clicking of the full pump might bother some people but you can always upgrade to a quiter one for about $25. I'm OK with it for now. Very fuel efficient with the 1.3 gallon tank. Statup costs about 115 watts for about 3 min. After that it's about 33 Watts on it highest fan setting and 9 watts on its lowest setting. The display extention cable is a great feature. Liked this heater so much I bought a second one for my brother. Will write a second review on the other heater once we get back from Yosemite camping trip.

This little heater is great! I have 2 of these heating a large one car garage with a high ceiling and they actually do a good job. Only thing to be aware of is that the exaust does make some condensation. So during install make a way for the water to drain out.

3rd update: I’ve now had to replace the fuel meter/pump, and the blower motor is extremely loud. Please note, my last heater lasted 2 full seasons before needing to be repaired in any way. The motor inside the blower is a sealed motor, so replacing the bearings to solve the notorious issue is impossible without buying a new motor. I’m exceptionally diligent in my installations. I do not run ducting that would damage the motor. And after a quick cleaning, the mold heater is now functioning beautifully again while my brand new heater is a pile of spare parts, most of which are trash. 2nd update: it has been weeks and the replacement glow plug that they were supposed to send me still isn’t here. I ordered my own and got the heater running. Now, one week later, I am going to have to replace the bearings in the blower motor because the thing is so obnoxiously loud that unless I have noise canceling headphones in being in my garage is absolutely unbearable. The only reason I am keeping this unit is because I want that temperature control. This purchase has been nothing short of a nightmare. The temperature controls are fantastic, the quality of the heater it’s attached to is on the low side for heaters that are already typically low and quality in the first place. Update: the heater took forever to arrive, arrived with a bad glow plug and not working, and their response a WEEK later was to tell me they are “working on sourcing parts” and will let me know when they find a glow plug to send me from China that will take at least a week to get here. A heater manufacturer… has to source glow plugs…? Definitely time to process a return and avoid them at all costs. It’s a shame, the unit is nice. Love the unit. The case is nice and it has the best quality stock fuel line I’ve seen on these. But after I got it primed with fuel and ready to use, it wouldn’t start with the glow plug symbol on the controller and E031. The manual says it’s the glow plug. I see nothing wrong with it and it tested fine, so I’ll see what happens when I put another one in it. They are sending me a new glow plug, but that doesn’t change the fact that slow shipping of the unit and now I’ll have to wait for a glow plug I’ll have to install myself… I’m irritated. Highly irritated. But I’d rather swap a glow plug than send it back. And after all that, it may end up being the control board. Will they just want to send me a control board and expect me to do that labor for free too?

GOOD QUALITY GOOD PRICE SEEMS TO FUNCTION WELL INCLUDING THE BLUETOOTH IT SEEMS TO ALL WORK WELL WILL UPDATE ON HOW IT BURNS AND HEATS WHEN I GET SOME KEROSENE THEY SAYS TO USE IT BECAUSE IT BURNS CLEANER THAN DIESEL FUEL WHICH MAKES SENSE.

Perhaps I've been lucky but this thing was a bargain I couldn't pass up and it worked great right from the start. My third hcalory heater and they all just work. Online groups have lots of complaints but people don't as often say anything when an item performs as expected. I'm sure there are some defective, but that's not unheard of even with expensive products. I assembled it quickly, added fuel and connected a 100ah 12v lifepo4 battery and it fired right up.

This unit is great! Fired right up, got nice and hot, clean exhaust (after initial brief puff of smoke). The manual is written in plain, understandable English. Initially, I’m very happy and would absolutely recommend it! Nice unit

Unit works well. Now… disassembled and checked the gaskets and mounting surfaces. Had to true, one edge of the combustion air chamber where it looks like it was dropped prior to installation. Applied antisieze and torqued fasteners. Pushed fuel lines the rest of the way on the barb and installed fuel line clamps (missing) upon contacting the company (they responded every time I contacted them, and they offered to refund my money, but I had already installed the unit and put it in use.) During these interactions I stressed the importance of having a service and maintenance manual, for troubleshooting and it is, in fact a diesel engine, that will have problems eventually, no matter how much pre maintenance I perform. They told me that the display has all that information.. it has some of it, but what if the display is the problem? Or it’s dead? You need to have real parameters that can be tested and verified using volt/ohm meters or the like if it is a dead brick.. or just have a whole other unit to keep around to use to throw parts at the broken one, and hope you have the right one.. Not on my watch… it’s a heater, if I am using it that means it’s cold outside. Cold enough to cause problems for me, my family, or my animals. And that cold can be life threatening. It’s currently 3 degrees F outside, with a wind. When it breaks down, I need to know how to fix it, quickly, or if I’m not there, to have a paper, hands on book ( I know I’m old, but books still work when there’s no power too) so someone else has the possibility of fixing it.. so the missing stars are for a decent product, with some missing paper support..
