Best high wing sport plane in decades ? May be !
This is an absolutely awesome airplane ! The Valiant 10cc is designed for gas or electric power . It is all built up Balsa and lite ply and covered in Ultracote film. It looks Beaitiful on the ground or in the sky . Mine is powered with an e-flite power 46 and a 70amp amp YEP esc from HK. I use 4S 4000mah lipos and 5S as well. The assembly takes about 6- 10 hours depending on you level of experiance. The manual is well written and the photos also guide you through each step..not difficult but take your time and read the manual once before you start the assembly to familiarize yourself . The wing, fuseand tail feathers are all built very well and beautifully covered . The Painted fiberglass cowel and wheel pant are beautiful and match the ultracote perfectly! The Valiant comes with all the pushrod, horns , main and tail gear , wheels , a spinner , fuel tank , engine and motor mount , a good manual and a small hangar 9 decal sheet . All the nuts and bolts , clevises are nice quality ..no Phillips head junk , all the bolts and screws are cap/hex head for no slip installed or cam out like with junky screws. The call out in the manual are a very good place to start , dont overthink thi gas follow the manual for throws and cg. It all works very well and you can monkey around after your maiden and a few trim flights . The only thing I will say now ..buy one ! This is one of the very best high wing sport aerobatic planes to come along in many many years !! Dont be fooled , it is not just another high wing trainer. The Valiant is a blast to fly , sport aerobatic , flaps down slow circuits at low level is really cool and will look even better with the lights I ordered ! I love warbirds and Aerobatic thoroughbreds like the Extra and Edge , but this will be a lot of fun for flying off water , snow , grass ..pulling up gliders and just plain old school low stress flying ! Ignore the negative reviews. One saying the ailerons are to small and the trailing edge of them is to thick. The it says the model flys wonky? then something about stabilizing and adding little weights to the nose. If he followed the manual and set the proper CG / Center of gravity he would experience a VERY nice flying model. The ailerons are plenty responsive and this version of the Valiant is an outstanding performer.

Very unstable and will need new weights added to the nose. So tail-heavy in electric setup.
The ailerons are tiny for how big the plane is. If small ailerons wasn't enough, their trailing edge is super thick. Desperately needs to be extended. Flies very wonky and I'm not sure notifications will make it any better but Will have to try. Already invested over $500 on this Valiant. If you're buying it because you enjoy flying the 1.3m Valiant from horizon hobby, you'll be severely disappointed when you take this thing up in the air. However, you can customize it and properly stabilize it by adding little weights to the nose, maybe. I just haven't tried yet.
