Look V Therm Timer

I don’t often write a review, but want to share how pleased I am with this coffee percolator. Firstly, everything is very easy access, clean and fill. I bought this machine for its timer option, which even for a technophobe like me, is really easy to set. My son gets up for work at 3.30am each morning, so knowing a steaming hot pot of coffee is waiting for him in the kitchen, I hope makes getting up that tiny bit easier. And it does make a steaming hot pot of coffee! I’m writing this review at 9.30am and have just poured a cup from the thermos jug the coffee filters into. While the coffee is no longer steaming, it was certainly still warm enough to drink. So for a delicious hot cup of coffee, a simple to use and set, elegant and very functional coffeemaker that doesn’t require those dreadful pods (which are appalling for the environment!), is good value and has the benefit of a really well insulated jug, I would highly recommend this coffee machine. This replaces a five year old Melitta machine on which the water tank was accidentally damaged and a replacement not available. The only downside with that machine is that it had a large footprint and timer buttons were difficult to operate. I’ve always favoured the flask type pot as it seems to maintain the flavour of the coffee longer. This machine is better in every way and is a delight to use. Coffee is hot and fairly quickly dispensed. Easy filling due to the removable tank and an easy pour jug. Owned it for a couple of months and would buy another tomorrow. In black and silver it looks really smart and the timer is easy to use. Not the cheapest out there buy I think this machine represents excellent value for money Five Star Purchase!

Purchased beginning of July 2022, and have used it everyday since, often running multiple times a day. Timer function is really handy, and really easy to set up and change (you have an hour and minute button, so putting it back less than an hour is a bit of a pain). You can put any amount of water in the tank and it will make that much coffee. However making less than half a pot is a really inefficient use of coffee grounds so wouldn’t recommend if you want to make small amounts at a time. The thermos pot keeps it hot for at least 4 hours (6 if you don’t mind luke warm coffee). Fairly easy to clean, as most parts can be removed. The pot can be a bit fiddly to hand wash due to the rim. All in all, a really decent coffee machine for the price. Compared to a family member’s $200 US Ninja machine, I notice 0 difference in taste using the same coffee grounds.

Melitta's a good brand and I spent a while choosing this. Unfortunately the first one I got had a broken piece (and did seem very flimsy plastic for such a vital aspect as the valve) and then got the replacement elsewhere. The completely removable water tank makes cleaning and filling really easy, even if you have the machine under kitchen wall cupboards. The swing out filter holder seems solid and the overall build is stylish and feels good quality. But, one of the reasons for getting this specific model was the timer function. I can't use it though as to keep coffee hot for any period of time at all, you need to warm the metal jug with boiling water first so can't use the auto-timer function. More importantly though, the water seems to flow through too fast. I turn it off and on to slow things down to the Krups' pace but that's neither effective nor practical. Still, it's a good looking machine and I do like the thermal jug. I just wish I'd got a cheaper model and simply bought a better thermal jug to use.

My old one broke and I like coffee machines that keep drinks hot with a flask rather than a hot plate. The old one was the same principle and was over 10 years old so owed us nothing. Like the way you can fill the water container itself from the tap as it comes off, decent handle on it too as its heavy when full. Makes a nice coffee ( obviously you need to buy decent filter coffee ) and keeps it hot for a good few hours without stewing it. Easy to clean and looks nice too. Timer function but we dont use that, just set it going when we get up. Coffee still drinkable at lunchtime.

I've this drip coffee maker since Jan 2024 and I'm a bit disappointed with it but I shouldn't be. It does make a great pot of coffee but it only stays hot for about 2 hours so it is the kind of coffee maker that you need to drink your coffee quickly. I've tried to heat up the pot in advance by placing hot water in the pot for about 10 minutes but like I've said the coffee doesn't keep hot for long. I did expect this to happen but I decided to purchase this coffee maker anyway.

I love this coffee machine, I had the previous version, but it eventually wore out after well over 5 years of daily use. This new design is even better. It brews a large pot of hot coffee in a couple of minutes. The best thing is that the insulated jug keeps the coffee warm through the day. Another great feature is that the water container can now lift out - making it much easier to fill and clean. They even added a great finger hold so it is simpie to put the full water container back on the machine. The capacity of the jug hold about 6 cups of coffee from one load of coffee and even about 5 hours later it is still warm enough to be pleasant to drink. You can change the brew strength if you want to. Plus features a timer if you need that, and a descaling feature if, like us, you live in a hard water area. Considering the prices of alternative machines we find this makes great coffee without the packaging waste of pods or the effort required with barrista style machines. This is a great value machine that really earns its keep in our kitchen.

Me encanta el café a goteo porque para mi gusto deja todo el sabor del café segun preferencias (café y agua la cantidas que elijas) sin llegar al sabor del café fuerte casi quemado del café de cafetera exprés. Puedo usar buenos cafés de tipo arábica tueste natural, buenísimos ! Hay una opción de esta cafetera que muele el café pero tengo Thermomix y si quiero lo puedo moler al momento. Qué además mantiene el café caliente en el termo. Haces un café y tien a cafés toda la mañana. Es magnífica la cafetera, a tu gusto totalmente. Y muy limpia! No da ningún trabajo

Je possédais une cafetière KitchenAid qui, après deux retours (problème de pompe) et un remplacement par du neuf, m'a donné des grosses suées (toujours ce fameux problème de pompe) jusqu'au point de vouloir la jeter par la fenêtre 🤬. De ce fait, nous avons changé, après nombreuses recherches 🥵, pour cette Melitta look therm timer. L'ancien modèle, 70 euros, étant quasiment introuvable dans des délais raisonnables, nous avons cédé aux sirènes de la nouveauté. Bon, 120 euros, c'est pas donné et pour une cafetière, c'est too much. Sur le site Melitta, elle est encore plus chère 😥! Sinon, le produit est très qualitatif, la cafetière est plutôt silencieuse, programmable et on peut régler l'intensité de l'arôme. Franchement, même si j'espère qu'elle va durer dans le temps, le produit m'a l'air sérieux. L'aluminium brossé est de qualité, les plastiques, ben ça reste du plastique 😕 et quant à la verseuse, là c'est du sérieux. Le café se verse sans une goutte à côté et elle conserve parfaitement le chaud pendant au moins 4 heures. Première cafetière que je vois et qui ne fait pas pleuvoir les gouttes quand on retire la verseuse pendant que le café coule, ça c'est top 👍. Il faut quand même, c'est là l'essentiel, parler du café ! Je le trouve très bon et surtout meilleur que celui produit par mon ancienne KitchenAid. L'arôme est bien présent et au niveau du goût (sélecteur à fond), c'est puissant comme j'aime. A tester avec d'autres marques pour comparer. Moi, pour l'instant, c'est Malongo. En conclusion, même si je la trouve trop chère pour ce que c'est (un truc qui fait juste du café), cette Melitta m'a fait forte impression. Espérons qu'elle tiendra ses promesses. En tous les cas, pas déçu à cette heure.

Particulièrement silencieuse. S'éteint automatiquement. Super facile d'utilisation avec son réservoir d'eau amovible. Je recommande ce produit. Surtout cherchez la bonne promo!!
