Great value, 6 year old loves!
My 6 year old who LOVES space, was in love when he saw this on Amazon. The price point is great, he was able to purchase with his own money. It was easy to assemble, and kept him busy for a long time. He had some help from his dad with assembly, but after that he did it all on his own. We were happy to see that the paints were not dried out when we opened them up. That has been an issue with other sets we have purchased recently. It was nice that it comes with a paintbrush to use. It has another set of planets he is going to paint at a different time to use on the puzzle board. He is excited to do that again. It’s nice that came with another set of paint as well. He likes that the planets are paintable, and when it’s fully assembled “the planets don’t bonk into each other when rotating the arms around”.

Great set with materials for solar system project
Perfect for a class solar system project. Easy for kids to paint and put together. I recommend gluing the base to something like a big piece of cardboard for stability when carrying it around.

Nice project
My grandson learned about the planets in school this year. This was a nice project for my 7 year old grandson and his grandfather to paint and put together.

Educational and fun
My daughter is 3 and loved this! She obviously needed some help putting it together but did the painting herself. She names the planets and recites cool facts about them every morning while playing and making them orbit around the sun. Its really helped her to grasp the concept.

Just okay. Missing Jupiter information card.
This model is just okay. It was pretty easy to put together, but wood can split if you push too hard. My child was upset that the Jupiter card was missing and instead he got two Mars cards. The rings on the foundation plates also didn’t line up.

I would recommend but…
This was a good buy and I like the set up. It’s sturdy and work well. I recommend it however the balls that came with it are very small. Initially I bought 2 kits to see which one I would like best.. but one was just balls and we would have to figure out how we would arrange it. So I opted to use the structure and the balls from the other kit since they were bigger. It was more than I wanted to spend but I knew it would look great and it was for my kid’s project so I did what I had too. I spray painted it black and it turned out great.
