MMRAD-E36-92 Performance Aluminum Radiator, Compatible with BMW E36 3-Series, 1992-1999

This is hands down, easily the best radiator I've ever seen. The quality is outstanding, and it's shockingly light for something that's so well-built. Cooling performance is excellent: In my E36 I installed this, the Mishimoto MMTS-E36-92 62 Degree Racing Thermostat, the matching Mishimoto silicone hoses, and filled it with a 50-50 blend of distilled water and OEM BMW coolant, with one bottle of Red Line Water Wetter. Even running with a fan delete, it still tends to run one notch down on the thermometer from the centerline. If you've had cooling system issues with your BMW (and who hasn't) it's a great feeling to see that kind of thermal efficiency registering on your gauges. I should also point out that I'm living in Florida, where the heat is insane, and this radiator has absolutely no problems keeping my engine cool and running smooth, even with no fan. One feature I also liked a lot is the drain plug on this radiator has an integrated magnet to help pull out any metal dust or debris in your coolant mix, similar to the oil pan plugs that Mishimoto produces. On the customer service side, Mishimoto also delivers. I was surprised to learn that not only does the part have a lifetime warranty, but that warranty also covers accident/collision damage. Meaning that if you wreck your car, Mishimoto will replace your busted radiator with a brand new one if you provide them with your receipt and accident report along with pictures of the damage. I've never even heard of a company willing to go to those lengths to support their product. Plus their web site has a ton of great info, including an excellent video showing the full installation process from start to finish. E36s are infamous for their issues with the cooling system. The plastic components in the OEM parts degrade over time and can lead to a lot of frustration and headaches. It's true that an OEM radiator (or a comparable knock-off) is going to be cheaper, but it's also true that you get what you pay for. If you've ever been stuck on the side of the road with an overheated engine, then you know how much of a hassle it can be when those parts start failing. For the little bit of investment that this radiator requires, you can be done with those issues for the lifetime of your vehicle, and that is well worth the price of entry. Spend the extra buck, and treat your engine right. You'll be glad you did.

Had to buy this in an emergency situation. Installed it in a hotel parking garage. This radiator was worth every penny, it looks great, had no leaks, and works really good.

This is a great radiator. You can see tons of reviews on cooling quality, and it's as good as everyone says. So I'm going to review e30 fitment. You may have heard that this fits e30s, and yes it does! Good fit on my later model 325i. I bought this for my 1990 325i. Perfect fit in terms of getting it into the car. I had one small issue with the two upper left hose outlets. You can see in the pictures that it's a tight fit. I absolutely could not get my hoses on the outlets. I could get one hose on, either the top or bottom, but there was not enough room to get a second on Keep in mind these are E30 hoses not E36 which might be different. Also worth mentioning I have HPS silicon hoses, you might avoid this problem with rubber OEM hoses or Mishimoto silicon hoses. I saw no reason to return it for this small issue, so I bent the upper hose outlet a very slight amount away from the lower outlet. I then flattened that lower outlet lip a small amount. I then trimmed the lower, larger silicon hose just a bit on the top to help. It really doesn't take much, so don't let this scare you off. You may need to alter your plastic upper radiator mounts. I've got MTC mounts, fitment may vary. They're a bit too tall to fit with the radiator. You can fix this with a dremel, grinding or cutting will do it. Fits fine in the lower mounts. I would buy again. Good quality welds too.

This is a very solidly built radiator with a top notch warranty. The folks at Mishimoto really out do themselves when it comes to customer service. I bought this radiator as a replacement to the OEM unit left damaged by the previous owner of my car. Unfortunately, I had an accident myself several months later which rendered the new radiator punctured. Mishimoto's warranty will replace the unit for the nominal cost of shipping with proper documentation of the damage and a police or insurance report. <---KEEP THIS IN MIND I did not have a police report documenting the collision, as the only car damaged was my own and I planned to fix it myself. Mishimoto still worked with me to replace the unit at a nominal cost. It wasn't a replacement for the cost of shipping only, but it spared me taking a complete loss on the unit. They did not have to be as generous, and I am eternally grateful. They've earned another lifelong customer.

Okay, I was a little dissapointed when I noticed the staples in the carton were not fastened correctly thought maybe I got a returned item. Took the nylon strap off then the factory tape opened the flaps on a double thick cardboard carton, forcefully slide out high density foam not styrofoam 4 inches front back and all four edges. Then sealed in a heavy duty plastic bag. I thought I was unpacking some high end audio gear. When I finally got it out the Mishimoto Radiator was polished enough to go in a show car, well darn near. Installation was a breeze, check out there video. If the quality is half as good as what they have already provided, you will be as happy I as I am. Only time will tell its longevity, so I will update in a year or so.

Almost took a star off because it didn't come with a sticker

Stock rad blew open upon pulling car out of winter storage, replaced with this Mishimoto Radiator and it runs beautifully. Also, this product can be used on both automatic and manual transmission e36. I verified with Mishimoto before ordering and fits perfect in my 92 325is auto

Lo compre para adaptar a mi 4x4 y la verdad es que de momento no a dado ningun sintoma de fallar, esta bien construido tiene muy buena capacidad, mas de un litro mas que el de serie. El material de construcción es de primera calidad 100% construido en aluminio, Se adapta a otros modelos de coches. Mas caudal, mas de un litro mas en mi caso. Poco peso, menos de la mitad que el de serie de mi coche. Tiene toma lateral para poner el sensor de electro-ventilador. Trae soportes para adaptar electro ventilador y atornillarlo. Buen embalaje y tiempo de envió rapidísimo. Garantía de por vida. Para que se se tenga en cuenta, las tomas de entrada y salida de refrigerante son de 38mm de diámetro. La verdad muy contento con la compra, cuando valla a cambiar el intercooler, seguro que confio de nuevo en Mishimoto. Un saludo

Definitivamente se ve un producto de calidad. Lo tuve que regresar porque no e Le quedo a mi auto, aunque en la página del fabricante mencionaba que si.

THEY SAY IT IS FOR E36 M3 BUT ITS NOT FOR EURO SPEC CARS!!! THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THIS, OIL COOLER DOES NOT ATTACH TO THIS RADIATOR AND VISCOUS FAN CLIPS RADIATOR. I USED CHICKEN WIRE TO HOLD OIL COOLER FOR NOW (SEE PIC). WASTE OF TIME FOR EU CARS TRUST ME.
