Seemed like a good product for cutting pla plastic. I put a blade in it and let it warm up good and started using it. After about 10 minutes the blade snapped off right where it screws into the top of the handle. Now it is unusable because there is no way to get the broken piece out of the handle

This hot knife cutter heats up quickly and it definitely cuts foam board easily. I used it for a big project making a bunch of stand-up 12–36” character boards for a Halloween event at my work, and it made cutting the boards way easier and faster compared to using a regular blade. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it’s hard to control the exact cutting line, especially when you’re trying to get perfectly clean borders. Mine turned out good overall, but not perfectly “crisp”/exact around every edge. That said, I would still buy it again and definitely recommend it for anyone doing large craft projects, decorations, or foam board builds — it saves a lot of time and effort.

I wouldn't buy this to use the hot blades. The one attachment works great with it but not the blades. For the amount wattage it puts out I should've known better but I still find use for it
