One month in! It's great!
I've been wearing the oura ring gen 4, stealth, size 9 for exactly one month now. First off, sizing. I was between sizes 9 and 10. I opted for the smaller size using this little test: Using the plastic ring sizes, if you cannot take off the ring in the morning when your fingers are puffiest, and the only way to do so is by wetting your finger to add some slippage, then that's the right size. With the bigger size, I was able to take off the ring in the morning without using water so I felt that size was too big. One month later, I am glad I went with the smaller size. No discomfort and still using water in the morning to take off the ring before I shower. Comfort I wear it on my right index finger. I did not like in between fingers, which is the reason I wear a silicone wedding band. But overall, it's not very intrusive. It's annoying to write with a pen or pencil but that's not often. Appearance I love the stealth color. Already got a few scratches on my palm side, which is a little annoying. But I tell myself that at least the back of my hand, the ring looks like new. I use these silicone protectors when working out with weight and it does a great job. The scratches came from handling things where I should have taken off my ring. I wish there were some way to make the scratches less visible as these scratches you see a shiny silver metal which contrasts a lot! Battery No issues. I charge it every few days or so while I shower. I am manually trying to keep the battery at between 25% and 75% but most often I forget that I left it charging and it goes back to 100%. Sleep Tracking I'm not a power user. I enjoy checking in the morning my sleep score and compare it to how I thought my sleep went the night prior. Pretty accurate sleep tracking in my opinion. Fitness Tracking. So we all know that the step counter is way off so I don't really care about that. However, the ring really is good at spotting fitness "events" and I love that when opening the app, there's a backlog of events that you have to confirm the type of activity. My top three are: housework, walking, and HIIT. The app gets better at recognizing the events so most times I am just confirming instead of categorizing. Overall, this level of tracking is simply encouraging me to be more active, which has lead to a good impact on my health. Overall, pretty satisfied with the ring. Glad I got it.

Excellent Support
I have had my Oura ring since August 2025 and it has provided great insight to my health and fitness. I love data and the ring provides plenty of it! In the last week, it has been losing battery life quickly and I've been experiencing connection problems. I contacted Oura and via their AI support, my issue was addressed immediately with a confirmation that they would ship me a new ring. Excellent support along with a great product!

It won't last a whole year.
Great for the first 6 to 8 months. From that point on the battery time became shorter and shorter and shorter. It's just a few days shy of one year and it's totally unusable now. It won't stay charged to even make it through the night. For the last few months I was having to charge it when I got home from work every day so it would make it through the night and the next day and then it got to wear I was having to charge it after work and again in the morning. It would charge up really really fast and run down really really fast eventually getting to the point where I could put it on the charger and take it off right before bedtime and it wouldn't even make it long enough to give me any data the next morning. Battery life went from almost a week to just a few hours in less than a year. Knowing what I know now I would not have wasted my money. I've since bought another brand and there's no guarantee it will last any longer but end of the day I've got $60 tied up not hundreds.

Replaced my Apple Watch
I’ve been using the Oura Ring 4 for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed with how much insight it gives me about my sleep, activity, and recovery. It’s so lightweight and comfortable that I forget I’m even wearing it, and the data feels way more accurate compared to other wearables I’ve tried. The app is easy to navigate, and I love how it breaks everything down into actionable tips rather than just throwing numbers at you. The only downside I’ve noticed is that it does scratch fairly easily, so you’ll want to be mindful when working out or doing things with your hands. Still, that’s a small trade-off for everything it offers. Overall, this is easily a 5-star product for anyone serious about their health and wellness!

Great data, once you're past the paywall. Battery degrades FAST, but warranty support is great
This has transformed how I view and evaluate my personal health. I love the form factor - I rarely notice its presence, and it lets me wear a regular watch instead of having to always sport around a smartwatch. Battery life was great when I first got it, but after less than a year it only lasts about a day and a half. I like the stealth finish, but BE WARNED: the DLC coating WILL scratch the life out of any glossy surface you use - including your phone screen. ESPECIALLY your phone screen. Wearing this and carrying a phone without a screen protector is a recipe for disaster. Setup was effortless, despite receiving a previously-paired (used) item. The factory reset was easy enough but I wish I had known ahead of time that I was receiving a used product. As I mentioned, the battery longevity leaves quite a bit to be desired. Brand new, I could easily get a week out of it. 10 months later? recharge notifications every other day. Fortunately, all I had to do was go to the AI chatbot on Oura's site, tell it my ring battery sucked, and it pulled the battery health from my account logs. It saw that the battery was draining fast and immediately asked for my address for the replacement. Didn't have to talk to a single person. So big kudos for that. Also, this WILL 100% guaranteed get scratched, no matter what finish you end up with. In reality, the first few scratches will bother you because it's your shiny new expensive health toy, but after a few weeks you stop caring. even scratched to the heavens and back, it doesn't look terrible. One other benefit to note - recently the news has had increasing reports of smart ring batteries swelling while the user is wearing it, getting it stuck on their finger. The Oura Ring does NOT seem to have that problem. All of the affected units used plastic or epoxy inner rings, allowing the battery to breach the ring. Both the inner and outer rings of the Oura Ring are titanium; there is a gasket fitting between the segments that allows the battery to vent in case of failure, but it should not be possible for the battery to exert enough pressure on the titanium inner ring to get it stuck on your finger in a catastrophic failure mode. Overall functionality: +4/5 Subscription: -1/5 Battery degradation: -3/5 Warranty Support: +3/5 Wont destroy my finger: +1/5

Apple Watch convert. Oura 4 is great
I’m a former Apple Watch user and hated wearing the watch as I prefer a more traditional watch. Apple Watch battery life always caused me to miss sleep patterns and it always needed charging in 24 hours. It’s not for me and I also didn’t like working out with a watch on. I ended up rarely wearing the watch After fitting for the ring I went with the stealth black. The battery life has been great and so far I’m getting 7 days. It accurately tracks heart rate and sleep, which were my biggest needs but I love that I can wear it for a week straight without charging. It’s tracks way more like recovery, sleep cycles and vo2 and frankly I’m getting way more out of the ring than I expected. I also wear it when I workout including weights and it’s been unnoticeable to me unlike the Apple Watch. I love the simplicity of a ring and I’m a full convert. As for the monthly fee that some people seem to be mad about, I’m sure there are apps fees most of us are paying for other things but this fee is cheap for what it is. It’s your health after all and it’s worth it. They are also constantly improving the app and older versions of the ring work with these updates. I’m more than happy paying this fee as it’s going to improvements in health metrics (and I’m sure some profits) but it’s worth it to me because the app is very insightful and beyond my expectations. Durabilty also seems great. I’ve showered with it and worked out with barbell right on it and so far there are no scratches As for things I wish it had - The charger is meant for the ring size you buy so you are very limited in charging if you don’t have it. If you lose it you got problems. It’s not ideal but i also don’t know what could be done here There is no portable charger and it feels like a big need. I wish it had an AirPod like charging case for travel. I travel for 2-3 weeks at a time and sure wish I had a portable charger I could get a couple recharges from. They have to be working on this as it seems like a no brainer The silver interior with stealth black I wish was all black but it’s not really noticeable. Not a bud deal

Obsessed!
The Oura Ring 4 is sleek, lightweight, and comfortable enough to wear all day and night. Sleep tracking and readiness data feel accurate and genuinely useful, especially once you build a few weeks of history. The Stealth finish looks subtle and doesn’t draw attention. Expensive, but the insights and build quality make it feel worth it.

It will fail within months and the extra asurion insurance is a scam
When it works, it works well. I had a Gen 3 which stopped working after 7 months. I had bought it direct from Oura and they refused to replace it under warranty and I gave up. I bought Gen 4 from Amazon and took the extra insurance option with assurion. Gen 4 also stopped working after 6 months and Asurion gave me the runaround to replace it offering up one excuse after another - 1. the product isn't registered with us (my response - the policy was sold at the same time concurrently with the product on Amazon so this is incorrect), 2. we are not an Amazon company therefore we would not know what policy is linked to what product (also incorrect because you are SELLING on amazon and the policy was attached and added to the cart at the same time as the product), 3. this has to be handled by a special department which will get back to you (they never did get back) It's a ring, it's fragile, it will fail just from everyday use. It's on your hands which are constantly in movement and hitting things such as door handles, etc. Understand that your product will fail. the extra insurance is a money grab scam.
