Worked better than expected in my battery packs builds

I purchased this self-adhesive insulating paper primarily for shielding spot welded connections on battery pack builds: It’s so much nicer to have new paper to use, rather than attempting to salvage and re-stick old paper. This paper is at least 0.2mm thick, as advertised. As such, it’s a bit stiff off of the roll, but the strong adhesive backing works well to counteract the tendency to curl. The thick paper provides excellent protection for the seams on my battery packs and blocks accidental contact with the electrodes. The paper is definitely flame retardant, as it does not easily ignite when I expose it to flame. In addition, I’ve exceeded temperatures of 104°F (40°C) for more than an hour, without the adhesive backing loosening. After building 3 packs with this tape, I’m happy to say that I’ve found a new favorite supply: It’s easy to cut and apply, doesn’t easily fall off, and is very rugged. In addition, it has a much more professional look than old reused paper or electrical tape.

Easy to cut and apply. Sticks really well. Provides excellent insulation. No complaints.
