I ordered the Ulike X IPL Hair Removal Device on November 22nd, and it arrived quickly on November 25th. Shipping was super fast, and the packaging was especially nice and well-presented, which immediately made it feel like a premium product. After using it consistently, this has easily been one of the best beauty tech purchases of my life, not just this past year. The performance is truly impressive. The IPL technology actually works—and not after an extended period of time, either. I noticed a visible reduction in hair growth by the third use, and after a couple of months, I’m seeing little to no regrowth for weeks in every area where I used the device. **Super Cool and Almost Painless!** I’ve been using Ulike Air 10 before, and it worked great, so I decided to buy this one to my friend too. He said the ice-cooling feature is amazing—really helps with the heat, and it doesn’t hurt at all. It’s easy to use, and the different modes make it perfect for stubborn hair. I haven’t used it long enough to see the full results yet, but based on my experience with Air 10, I’m pretty sure this will be just as effective in the long run. So far, so good!

Udate (08/16/2023) first device was defective with clouding on the inner lense. The second device now won't detect when it makes contact with skin after a few uses. Im really disappointed in this model. Maybe it's just my luck but I think ulike has a lot to figure out with this latest line of devices. Now I feel like I wasted over $400 dollars on a useless device. I like there devices but I'm extremely disappointed with the new xl. I bought the Ulike IPL device (the black version designed for men), and I’ve been genuinely impressed with the results. The design is sleek and comfortable to hold, and the treatments are quick and painless. I started noticing a reduction in hair growth after just 3 sessions, especially on thicker areas like my chest and arms. What really stood out to me, though, was their customer service. My first device had a lens issue, and they replaced it without any hassle. The replacement works perfectly and shows the company really stands behind their product. If you're a guy looking to reduce body hair without going to expensive laser appointments, this is definitely worth trying. So far, I’m really satisfied and looking forward to continued results!

The device is very useful and effective. The device is overall simple to use but requires multiple treatments, though for the price, much cheaper than a professional job. I had to exchange mine several times as the skin sensor did at times malfunction. It seems the most recent iteration of the device has had this problem resolved. I also learned that it is necessary to let it cool back down after rapid uses, to periodically wipe the surface of the skin sensor, and to use it 3 times on each patch of skin to get long term results. There is room for improvement but I would not have been able to get results like this any other way on my budget

Initially I really wrote a really glowing review for this device, and I still stand behind it, as well as the brand. I mostly compared it to the Air 10 model. I am male with a lot of body hair its not extremely coarse but I have a lot of semi thick hairs. The Ulike X has a higher intensity per flash, where the high mode on the X model uses 2 flashes to equal the same 4 flashes of SHR mode on the air 10 model. It saves a significant ammount of time if you need the higher intensity like I do which is why I love this Ulike X model over the Air 10 for my hair type. There were a few nitpicks on the X i thought that were done better on the air 10 like the removable modular power cord being able to pack away neater but not a deal breaker by any means, I think I also preferred the sensor on the air 10 better because it fits in certain areas better like fingers, toes, but with some precision the X works here too. Around 2 weeks of ownership using it every other day the device sensor started to fail to work and no longer operate after prolonged use ( a whole session for me as a male takes some time.) I have been able to unplug the device hold power for 10 - 15 seconds, plug it back in and get it working again. The Ulike X for men or thicker has is definitely superior to the Air 10 in my opinoin but the Air 10 sensor just works flawlessly in comparison. 3/3/26 update: It seems like the device may have beeen overheating which causes the sensor issues, i took some time to break off my ipl session into sections and let the device cool down and it had no errors with the device, my advice is to take a short break between upper and lower body sessions, and try your best not to obstruct the airflow paths on the device when in use it definitely operates at a higher temp than t he air 10 model. Ulike reached out to me after my review, and stood behind their product offering a full refund if I wanted to send the device back, I chose to keep it because it works so well and with breaking my session off into two sessions it keeps it working perfectly. I am seeing results about 3 weeks in and I definitely can stand behind this product, and brand just be aware if you encounter the sensor issue these fixes should help! Also please always wear your safety goggles and look away from the device when flashes are in progress.

Company advised me to return as this doesn't work on gray hair. It was returned.

I have been using this 4 weeks now , following the instructions and staying consistent. I bought this to remove the cheek hairs that grow above my bread line . I have really really really thick, coarse beard hair and I usually just tweeze them out because they take longer to grow back. If I shave them they grow back in 1 day. Why I didn’t like the tweezing is because it’s time consuming and I wud have ingrown hairs, then most time I try to pluck them the hair breaks and I’m left with a stubble. I have considered going to a professional, but I assumed it wud be expensive and this just seem cheaper and more convenient. Results- After 4 weeks , I can say that the cheek hairs have significantly been reduced . Usually if I shave them in day 1, by day 2 they already grow back with thick stubbles. I have noticed that I can’t see the hairs anymore , when they grow back they are really really thin. When I shave them to use the ulike they shave easily. After 3 days of not using the device , the area is still smooth and I feel no hair when I rub my fingers across . I’m in the maintenance phase now , where I shud only use 2 times a month . This works for me. My complexion is a shade darker than Drake the rapper . I have notice no irritation- only downside is that I can’t use my chemical exfoliation, and retinol serum because they say to use it 1 week after IPL as they will dry out the face . I have oily skin and I’ve notice that for my cheeks I seem to be producing little to no oil from using the IPL. My minor acne scars have seem to improved . I hope this helps for guys/ladies with thick coarse black hair .
