Hadn't had this for over twenty years... And I still Love it now

Vesta curry. Always gorgeous. Can’t get it in the shops now so being able to get it from Amazon is brilliant. Highly recommended

Really well packaged, exactly as described

As I remembered apart from the meat, the shaped pieces are smaller and don't cook as well and are still hard after cooking for the directed time. Just cook for twice as long to get best results. I also add curry powder, chilli, oxo cube, tomato puree and tabasco sauce to beef it up and a bit more water because of the extra spices - as I did in the 80s. Don't get me wrong, it isn't anything like an Indian curry from a restaurant (which I also love) - but its not meant to be - love it for the unique texture and flavour.

Still find the bits of beef hard.

I love these but, as usual, the beef never cooks. I spend 5 minutes during the meal sifting through it to get all the beef out. Shouldn't have to do this with something this expensive. You'd think VESTA would have sorted this out by now.

As a kid in the UK I ate many of these back in the 70s. I was delighted to see them still available. However they taste nothing as I remember them, It could be my taste buds have changed but even the texture and color is completely different s I remeber them. My conclusion is they got a lot more expensive and taste far worse than the original but they are still edible, wll, kind of ( by that I mean you had better be really hungry to try them.)
