Speechless: A Graphic Novel Review: Builds understanding of selective mutism. They’re not just shy. - Read this graphic novel today. It has some great examples on how to help people with selective mutism. A big one is to not stop talking to them or asking them questions. Another is to not speak for them. Some kids are not just shy. If your child doesn’t speak in certain situations, you should look into selective mutism. This doesn’t have to last forever and if they truly have selective mutism, it isn’t something kids just grow out of. Help them find their voice even if it’s a tiny whisper at first. My daughter is reading this next and bringing it to school for their classroom library when she’s done. Quick synopsis: Mira just started Middle School and gave herself a huge expectation, to talk at school for the first time. Speechless walks us through Mira’s journey through therapy, realistic goals, friendship, and a little crush on her way to finding her brave voice. Great for 5th-8th grade students to build understanding and empathy. Review: Great graphic novel - My boys loved reading this book

A Must-Read for Everyone!
This is such a fantastic book! My daughter and I read it, and we could really feel how much love and effort went into every page. The art is beautiful, and the story totally pulled us in. It’s super relatable—especially for kids dealing with anxiety, but honestly, even I connected with it as an adult. We’re both huge fans of Mira now—she’s such a memorable character. My daughter and I both highly recommend it—it’s a must-read!

Fun and touching book dealing with social difficulties in middle school.
A touching and fun graphic novel about a girl with selective mutism and how she learns to deal with it and life in middle school. The art and coloring are wonderful!

Repeating 9x in 2 weeks, great book!
I bought Speechless 2 weeks ago and my 6yo read it 9x aldy! She loves all Aron's book so much, and because of it, I bought Speechless. Only Aron's book keep her captivated in the story. Great book, amazing author. We can't wait for the new release next June on Mr Wolf.

A Very very honest review. As a huge fan of the Mr. Wolf Series, I had very high expectations for this book. Sadly, those expectations were not met, rather I was quite disappointed with the overall book. After reading the entirety of this graphic novel, my kids and myself both agreed that instead of this 240+ page book, we would've much rather a new Mr. Wolf book to follow-up on the series. Speechless was surprisingly bland , at times carrying on with unnecessary dialogue. While I appreciate the concept and effort made to bring awareness ( the issue Mira has ) , it's done in a way that doesn't feel like it makes sense through this book. The main character decided that she needs to take anxiety medication at this age? This is disturbing, never in the book did her parents ( both mom and dad ) make an effort to encourage her self-confidence or have a talk with her about her anxiety / self issues, isn't' that what parents do? . Seems they prefer her to just stay in her room with her tablet, confined to technology , which is very likely causing the issue of her speechless. Or go see a therapist for her "issue", regardless, kids this age should not be expected to have therapy sessions for issues that are normal when growing up. I would not recommend this book, but I would recommend the Mr. Wolf series ( such a fantastic read and mix of characters ) . I can see the author put lots of effort to create the story, something just seems unusually off about this whole book. After such an anticipated hype , speechless definitely left me speechless.

My child owns several comic books, including the Wolf Class series. However, the paper in the latest one feels fake. Could you please check if this is an authentic copy?
