SmartTouch Punch

This one is really good. I first purchased on off brand punch called Officemate which costs more and doesn't have the punching capacity of he Swingline. It was terrible. I ruined three stacks of paper because it came misaligned from the factory and I didn't realize it until I made the hole punches. And then it was really difficult to adjust the punch. So I returned it to Amazon and got this name brand punch from Swingline. It worked perfectly and I really was able to punch 45 sheets without a lot of effort. I highly recommend this punch. Don't waste your time getting Officemate - you'll be disappointed.

Solid, sturdy 3 hole punch. Easy to use and grip well in your hand. I would recommend it!!

After using the same substandard hole punch for about 20 years, it finally broke. If I'd known then what I know now, I would have broken the old hole punch years ago. This thing is a monster punch...it does not disappoint. It will punch 20 pages at a time without a struggle. It's worth every penny to have a great punch if you're teaching or creating written content of any kind. Strong, easy to empty, and affordable. I'm so glad the old one broke!!!

In short, it's 3 hole punch that--to my mind at least--is surprisingly well made and worth the money. Unless you need something capable of doing even more pages at once, you should stop reading my review and buy it now. That being said, there is really only one drawback. The 20 page capacity is, for all intents and purposes, most likely true for any kind of basic lightweight printer paper found in the average office that typically uses sub 100 gsm weight 'copy / print' paper. I prefer a heavier weight, multi use, bright white, paper of between 100 to 150 gsm depending on brand and availability. This does functionally decrease the maximum page capacity, which I knew in advance having some experience with using different weights and types of papers for a variety of things throughout the years. So, keep that in mind if you're at all conscious of using a thicker or heavier than average copy paper. Also, it may be just my particular punch, but the middle hole slot seems to catch when trying to feed the paper into it for some reason. I haven't really looked into too much because, so far, it hasn't damaged the paper and after a slight jostling I can get the stack seated and punched without further issue. I tried it with a few different weights and quantities of paper to be certain and, regardless, it catches almost every single time. I may have received a marred or slightly defective punch, but this could also be a consistent issue in the design that might be present in all such 3 hole punches. As such, I removed a single star. These are simply my observations after assembling roughly 300 pages of inkjet printed material into a few binders. This is strictly for my personal use for organizing class printouts and the like, so aside from this semester, I'll probably only use it a couple times a year at most and these are minor issues for me.

Almost effortless "punching" and the holes have been perfect. I have not tried 45 pages yet. No adjustments for paper size, but that is fine for me. It's an excellent specialized three hole "punch" [I use the term loosely! for 8.5" x 11" paper. You do not give a quick hard press/"punch" to get the job done. You simply insert the paper and gently lower the tool's lever down toward the paper so the three cutting/"punching" rods (not visible while doing the job) just touch the paper. Is the upper left corner of your stack of paper correctly in the tray's corner and the back long side edges of your stack firmly against the back edge of the tray? Good. Now deliberately press down on on the lever gently but firmly and let the loaded springs do the work. Excellent

Die Verarbeitung ist sehr hochwertig, tolles Produkt. Für Deutschland allerdings ungeeignet, da der Lochabstand nicht bei dem Standort von 80mm liegt sondern nur bei knapp 70mm!

The punch arrived damaged, but repairable. Not suitable for A4 size paper ( without a small modification ! ).

The item was broken. Thinking of returning it.

I actually needed a hole punch that had a dot dash dot format but this will do. Great hole punch

El material es cómodo elegante y bien fabricado tiene un pasador para mantenerlo cerrado y evitar un accidente por mal uso. Además muy fácil perfora las 20 hojas lo cual se me hace muy práctico y eficaz, en mi opinión lo califico exelente en calidad y precio
