Fantastic Service!
SYNC Gold Wireless Meat Thermometer Review First Impressions I recently purchased the **SYNC Gold Wireless Meat Thermometer** and was immediately impressed with the product’s sleek design and build quality. The packaging was sturdy and the contents were well organized, reflecting a premium standard right from unboxing. The thermometer felt durable in the hand, with probes that seemed robust and wires that appeared ready to withstand the rigors of grilling and smoking. Performance & Ease of Use Setting up the thermometer was straightforward. It synced quickly with the receiver, and the wireless range was excellent — I could monitor my cook from inside the house without worrying about losing the signal. The display was clear and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. The thermometer responded quickly to temperature changes, giving me confidence in its accuracy. Whether I was smoking brisket low and slow or grilling steaks at high heat, it consistently provided reliable readings, helping me hit the perfect level of doneness every time. Customer Service Experience What truly set this experience apart was the **outstanding customer service**. I encountered a minor issue where one of the probes wasn’t reading quite right. I reached out to their support team and was met with a prompt, professional, and genuinely helpful response. They not only diagnosed the issue swiftly but also offered a hassle-free solution that exceeded my expectations. It’s rare these days to see a company stand so firmly behind its product — they were determined to make it right and did so with remarkable courtesy and speed. ### ✅ Overall Satisfaction Between the product’s performance and the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction, I can wholeheartedly recommend the **SYNC Gold Wireless Meat Thermometer** to anyone looking to up their grilling or smoking game. It’s not just a great tool — it comes backed by a team that truly cares about your experience. Excellent product quality paired with truly exceptional service. Couldn’t ask for more.

Worth the money, and get to case to protect it.
This is a great monitor for grilling. Has the ability to go long term for smoking and works well thru the grill with the lid closed. Very stable connection and on the base has the ability to check battery strength all thru the cook. Cleans up easily when you are done and look new after. (versus wired thermometers) smoke wipes off easily. I like putting the monitor in the kitchen as I have to walk by it numerous times during the day without walking outside to the smoker. I just glance at it. The phone app is even better as it shows the entire cook in a graphic way, even the estimated done time.

Best Wireless Thermometer Available — Accurate, Easy to Use, and Backed by Fantastic Support
TL;DR My first Typhur Sync unit quit working, but Typhur’s outstanding customer support replaced it immediately. The new unit has been perfect—super accurate, truly wireless, long-range, and paired with one of the best cooking apps I’ve ever used. After weeks of use, I can confidently say it’s the best wireless meat thermometer on the market. Highly recommended. I can't wait to save up the money for their Dome Air Fryer! ------------ If you’re looking for the best wireless meat thermometer available today, the Typhur Sync Gold Wireless WiFi Meat Thermometer with 2 Slim Probes is, without exaggeration, the top of the list. After owning and using multiple wireless thermometers over the years—and dealing with connection issues, slow readings, and unreliable sensors—this one finally gets everything right. To start, I want to mention something important. The original unit I purchased actually stopped working after a short period of use. I was frustrated initially, but that changed quickly once I reached out to Typhur. Their customer support was nothing short of amazing—responsive, friendly, and committed to making sure I was taken care of. Within days, they shipped me a brand-new unit at no cost, and that level of support alone made me a lifelong customer. Companies rarely go above and beyond anymore, but Typhur truly did. Now, onto the actual product—because the replacement unit has been flawless. The probes are slim, comfortable to insert into any cut of meat, and incredibly accurate. The readings are fast, precise, and consistent—within a fraction of a degree—and I’ve tested them side-by-side with other thermometers just out of curiosity. Wherever other brands fluctuate or lag, the Typhur Sync stays rock-solid. When you’re cooking brisket for 8-12 hours, or monitoring reverse-sear steaks, precision matters, and this device nails it. The connectivity is the part that really sets it apart. Wi-Fi + wireless capability means that once paired, I can monitor food temperatures from anywhere—inside, outside, upstairs, or even while running errands. My connection has never dropped, never lagged, and never desynced. That alone is worth the price. The app, though—WOW. This is where Typhur really outperforms competitors. The interface is clean, polished, intuitive, and genuinely helpful. The live graphs are awesome, especially for long cooks where you want to visually track temperature movement. There are built-in cook programs, suggested doneness targets, and alerts that trigger exactly when you're approaching your desired temp. No guesswork. No standing outside checking a smoker every five minutes. And no overcooking expensive cuts because you misjudged internal temperature. For usability, everything feels thoughtfully designed. The probes slide in easily, the base sits solidly wherever you put it, and the display is bright and readable. The battery life has impressed me as well—after multiple cooks, both short and long, it still hasn’t run low. Since getting the replacement, I've used this thermometer on ribeyes, turkey breast, pork tenderloin, chicken, brisket, salmon, and even sourdough bread. Every time, the results have been on point. When I pull meat at exactly the right temp, the difference in tenderness and juiciness is real, and that’s where accuracy pays off. Many wireless thermometers promise greatness; this one actually delivers. Pros: Extremely accurate probe readings Fantastic range with reliable connectivity App is polished, smart, and feature-rich Two slim probes make multi-protein tracking easy Excellent customer support (seriously, the best!) Great build quality and battery life Cons: None after replacing my first defective unit And honestly, even though my first device failed, the quick replacement and high level of communication turned that into a positive experience, not a negative one. If you're a smoker enthusiast, a weekend griller, a sous-vide user, or just someone who hates guessing when meat is done—this thermometer is worth every penny. Prices may vary, but even at the high end, you absolutely get what you pay for.

A really solid choice for home cook who's routinely cooking for 2+
I'm recanting/rewriting my initial average review after the seller responsed with useful information on some prior gripes I had with the typhur. These probes work really well for the task, software's not perfect, but better than prior meatstick pro from a few years back. On Probes - They are visiblity numbered, which is quite helpful. Their ambient temperature looks pretty spot on compared to other measurements and internal seems right too. They connect well and stay connected at a reasonable distance to the base unit (though you still need base unit near by) On base unit - seems solid and gives you minimal but sufficient access at the device. Recharging works well, though you have to remember to turn off - would be nice to have auto shutoff when probes stay at particular temp for an hour or something... Signals reach the 100 or so feet to my smoker and throughout my house, no dropped connections in my 5 or 6 cooks so far. On the app The app is fairly essential but also reliable and allows for meaningful alarm configuration, supports a wide variety of customized alarms (something I missed in the prior review) on ambient temperature and early warnings on temperatures as well. Now for some nitpicks - and to the future designer of the software - I want ability to remove all the "recommended cook stuff" from the software - I'm not interested in an app for a temp probe telling me how or what to cook. Manual settings are all I desire and anything on screen other than setting up the manual cook temps and alarms is distracting and therefore useless - allow us to turn it off. I want two (or three) stage cooks, where stages can be defined with their own alarms and graphs are isolated. My problems currently - If you want to have the probe in all the way to done, you are going to be leaving it in during the sear portion of the cook. Obviously alarms on ambient temperature aren't going to be good once you've changed heat sources dramatically (or brought out to rest). Also - ambient temperature of a hot sear (600-700+) makes the graphs pretty useless for the internal probe temps. Software should use two vertical axes with different relative scales for ambient and internal temps so that you can keep your eye meaningfully on the internal temp during the sear. Alternatively, allow for toggling on/off the ambient temperature in graphs (and alarms) - again useful during the sear portion

Great thermometer with one limitation: insert it to the line.
I have enjoyed using this thermometer. Yes, it the most expensive thermometer I have ever purchased but the build quality is amazing. It looks very high end. All parts are beautifully finished and appear solid. It comes with 2 wireless probes. Each probe has 6 thermal sensors. Its best use is in a THICK cut of meat or fish. The probes are much thicker than a usual thermometer. The probe is just over 5 inches long. There is a line indicating the proper insertion point just short of 3 inches. Supposedly the probes are IPX8 rated and will stand immersion (but I wouldn't use it in my instant pot pressure cooker). The tips communicate via bluetooth to the base station which looks like a very thick smart phone which then connects to wifi for transmission anywhere in your phone. The Ap is easy to use and set up. The tips charge when they are inside the base station. The base station charges via USB-C cable (wall charger not included.) I have not found battery life to be an issue. You can start and monitor a cook either on the base station or on the ap. So convenient. Using the probes in a roast I found the base station could be about 25 feet away with the oven door closed. Using the probe inside of a stainless steel dutch oven I found the base station needed to be much closer, only a few feet away. When the food is done you get a loud alert. The description on Amazon states the probes are rated to withstand 932 degrees, but the instruction in the package states it's only good for 2 minutes. I asked Typhur support what this means. They were extremely responsive (via email) and what they said was the part of the probe that sticks into the food (from the tip to the insertion line) is good to 105 C (221 degrees F) and the part of the probe that sticks out from the insertion line to the handle is good indefinitely at 932. YOU CANNOT LEAVE THE TIP ON A HOT GRILL. The reading is accurate, but it is not an instant read thermometer which means you will need to get used to taking food out at a lower temp than your intended finish temp. There is a "smart mode" which compensates for this as it somehow predicts when you should remove your food in order to not overshoot your target temp. What you get with this system is freedom: No wires to pull the thermometer out every time you turn the food or check on it. You can watch the temp while you have a dinner party, and it will calculate a projected done time, then alarm you at your selected done temp. I have used this in steaks, prime rib, chicken and Cornish game hens without a problem. The limitation is that you can't just stick it partway in whatever you are cooking. I learned this the hard way baking a russet potato. It was hard to stick the probe in and I missed full insertion to the line by about an eighth of an inch. I set the thermometer to alert at 205 degrees and set it to bake in a 400-degree oven. When temperature of the potato reached about 188 degrees the unit gave a loud alarm that the probe was overheating and needed to be removed immediately. This was a disappointing surprise even though it was my fault. (I hope they redesign the probe to make the insertion requirement a shorter length. If you insert it into a small fillet mignon it will almost poke out the other end!) I have used it on the grill inserting it to the mark and it performed flawlessly without overheating. I would rate this unit 5 stars provided you insert the probe all the way to the line. Some food items will be too small or too tough for the probe. If you can't insert the probe properly you will surely be disappointed! It's a great thermometer on the right foods. I must say the customer service at Typhur leaves me speechless: when they became aware of my recent problem baking a potato they offered a FULL REFUND. 10 star customer service. Addendum Feb 2025: I discovered another use for this thermometer: I travel with extremely expensive injectable medications that require storage and transport at 36-46 degrees F. I packed my meds into an "insulin cooler travel case" along with frozen gel packs and put the case in my carry-on. I packed the Typhur in with my checked baggage. After getting the luggage, I inserted one probe into the center of the travel case allowing me to verify temp. At the destination hotel, I was able to monitor and adjust the refrigerator temp and move the meds as needed to get the right temperature. I don't know how I could have done this without a wireless thermometer and was thankful for the NIST certification. (I discovered that tiny hotel refrigerators can easily get too cold at the top and too warm at the bottom.) The probes and the base unit have almost 24 hours of charge. By alternating probes, I was able to monitor the medication temperature continuously throughout the trip. It was a small investment to protect literally thousands of dollars of medication.

Never Under or Over Cook Again.
Amazing product! Easy to setup, reading, and works great with the app. I cooked a 2.5 lbs. tri tip and it monitored the temperature to perfection. This unit does not have a magnetic backing which was useful to connect to the garage fridge. This will reach the 3000 ft. distance. I had the thermometer under a closed steel lid, side garage door closed, the monitor on my toolbox and monitoring the temperature on my phone that was on my nightstand. Used a dial thermometer and compared temperatures to +/- 2-3 degrees. Great quality product. Battery life is good. I suggest charging fully when charge is low, thermometer will disconnect.

Best of the best.
Read several reviews on these and although they are pricier than some of the others, they are WELL worth the cost. No trouble with the functionality. Keep these on the breakfast room table in the house during use and there is no problem with connectivity. The app works great and is very informative during cooking. The display is bright and the touch screen is smooth as new cell phone. Super fast in connection and detailed to the tenth of a degree. If you're debating on others, forget them and get this one!!

Shockingly Unprofessional Response to a Serious Safety Issue
I ordered the Typhur Sync Gold Wireless WiFi Meat Thermometer on 11/8, and what I received was beyond anything I ever expected: I received a sealed Typhur box containing what appeared to be biohazard waste. The tamper-proof seal was intact, and there were no signs the packaging had been opened or interfered with. I contacted Typhur immediately via telephone, expecting a serious and responsible response. At first, they apologized and said they wanted to “make things right.” They requested photos, order details, and shipping info, and initially offered to replace the product and include an additional probe. But once I provided everything they asked for, the tone shifted. They suddenly claimed the issue happened at Amazon’s warehouse, even though they offered no evidence or explanation to support that conclusion. They then instructed me to deal with Amazon directly and downgraded their offer to a $30 gift card instead of the replacement they originally promised. I emailed and explained again that there was no way Amazon could have placed the biohazard inside one of their sealed boxes, but I was ignored. Because of the nature of what I received and the company’s refusal to take responsibility, I plan to report this incident to the appropriate consumer protection agencies so it can be properly documented and reviewed.
