Autism Beyond Despair

Apparently in the Amish community 1 in 30,000 get Autism. Here it is rising rapidly, one figure states it is 1 in 38............ Tinus Smits has provided a protocol to work with to remove the layers of "toxicity" which contribute to children' autistic symptoms. He talks of the brain being "blocked", not irretrievably damaged, and has 300 cases cured and on the road to being cured, using Homeopathy, food supplements, and deeply devoted parents. This book is well and simply written, and brings hope to the families of Autism sufferers.

I never believed in homeopathy. I became curious though when a friend of mine was cured of E coli food poisoning using homeopathy so decided to see if there was anything that could be done for my son who was damaged by the MMR. Although my child doesn't have any symptoms of autism left thanks to previous alternative therapies there was still definate immunilogical problems. My son is currently seeing a CEASE practitioner and has a huge detox reaction after every little pill. I know this therapy shouldn't work but it does.

This should be essential reading for all Homeopathy graduate level courses

This is like a manual on a possible approach to alleviating symptoms of autism, mostly in children. It gives detail on the likely side-effects of such an approach and how to deal with them. There are a useful range of cases to give a clear idea of how much time it takes to alleviate symptoms and the set-backs that might be created.

The seller sent the book on time and wow what a great book having a relative that is autistic we shall be looking into this therapy together with cranial osteopathy. Anything is worth a try for young people as autism is a growing problem and as usual the government is doing absolutely nothing

Well written and backed up with case histories & experience that supplies evidence of the CEASE methods efficacy. A really good description of what is going on inside an autistic child's mind & body.

Awesome makes the whole mystery more clear and how to go forward

I'm a homeopath, when I read this I enrolled on the CEASE training, any parent or couple preparing to get pregnant could do with reading the information in this excellent book.

This book goes for a new CEASE therapy. It is easy to read and I understood some of the key methods. Most is about what you eat and about dicipline in acting. But do look for a therapist to talk to! It is not for selfmade diagnostics!

Incredible book for any homeopath, parent or person with autism. The layers in complex children need to be cleared sometimes as far back as before the child was conceived. Really interesting cases. I don’t have autism but, I’m detoxing vaccines weekly and this book helped me understand more about layers in every person.

Being in health care I found this very helpful and useful! Great for parents wanting to see evidence of how different toxins and drugs can effect children also. A great read and amazing clinical work by Dr. Smits.

I have just now started on the method described in the book--and that itself tells how effective the book is abt the therapy- I am only a parent - and have tried many things for my 6 year old son now -- he gets excellent ABA therapy, all the attention he needs from people around him -- if the method Dr Smits writes about does not work -- it will be just another of those tries-- if it works, then its priceless- I have spoken to 2 parents who want to get onto rooftops and shout out to the world abt the changes they see -- so its worth a try I will update after some weeks Update (5 weeks)-- the medic started us off on Vit C (fat soluble ) and water and it immly got better focus . Carcincin 30C and 200C was less effective -- just started MMR 30C - not much change but will update again Update (6 months) During the MMR detox, low grade reactions came up for a long time for 1M and 10 M potencies. There was a suggestion that something is below that layer and hence we are trying to get a constitutional go at it. IPV did not generate any reaction. Tried sulphur last month but nothing from that.

I am a naturopathic doctor who became interested in autism and developmental disorders way back in college over 25 years ago. Over the years I saw many children with various developmental conditions, including autism. I was able to help many but failed quite miserably with some others, which affected me terribly as the families suffered so much. Then in 2011 I read Dr. Smit's book and suddenly felt as if the curtains had parted.. I suddenly had a much deeper understanding of autism and the many factors that can contribute to it's development as well as a whole new set of tools to treat these children. It was a revolutionary read to say the least and I immediately changed the way in which I treated autism and many other conditions. This book helped me understand that autism is truly a multifactorial condition and each child has a unique history and set of symptoms that need to be addressed. There are always predispositions that can include infections and traumas, even vaccines and toxins the parents or their grandparents were exposed to as well as stressors during pregnancy, labour and delivery, including drugs, ultrasounds and emotional shocks. Then add nutritional imbalances during gestation, drug use or C-sections during labour and then the many vaccines, medications such as Tylenol and antibiotics many children are given from birth, formula instead of breastmilk, flame retardants in the baby's mattress, off-gassing of vinyl in the home etc etc and it is no surprise that we have an epidemic of chronic disease in children. The good news is that Dr. Smits developed an integrated system to treat these children by identifying the many potential substances and stressors they were exposed to and then to detoxify them step by step with homeopathic remedies made from those substances while also using constitutional remedies to strengthen the child overall as well as addressing their brain inflammation with a few supplements such as fish oil and vitamin C. The program is multi-leveled and complex and should only be administered by an experienced homeopath who has a certification in CEASE Therapy. The book is not an instruction manual but simply a description of this method and it's potential. It should never be attempted without supervision. Fortunately there are now about 500 CEASE therapist registered around the world. I see that one of the other reviews found no benefit from homeopathy which is unfortunate, but perhaps their homeopath was poorly trained, inexperienced or not certified in CEASE. All that being said it is a most wonderful book to read for parents and other caregivers of children with autism. It is a ray of hope, undersatnding and inspiration and filled with dozens and dozens of success stories to illustrate the myriad causes of autism and their potentially successful treatment. It is a pioneering work as it describes a method to not only heal these children but also to help identify the many causes of autism, which will hopefully lead to prevention of these disabling conditions in the future.
