works perfect but does not record from tv excepts all dv conections ie video camera,camera etc.

Not working as it should
This item broke down after a week tried to get it looked at but both guys have said the conponets have melted and smelt burnt so was not repairable Not value for money

Reliability Problem
We're now onto our second player and this one has just failed - the DVD recording goes into write mode at the end of a recording and does not complete the process. The machine cannot be turned off and you have to unplug it. Once it is turned on again it will not recognise any disks. The recorder is slow to boot up and initialise which is a pain. I wouldn't buy another one and if this is the best Philips can do then I wouldn't buy a Philips anything again.
