Maxcon Voltage Converter 220 To 110V (65 Watt) Step Down

This item is defective. It stopped working on the first usage itself. Purchase at ur own risk and let the money go waste. I purchased it for my Mac mini and this product failed to support and started burning from inside

I wanted to buy a step down voltage converter(220 to 110V) for a device I bought from the US. I did a lot of research and came across this model which was transformer based unlike many other voltage converters. This particular feature sealed the deal for me. Also that it was affordable to buy was an icing on the cake. Although it is rated at 65 watts we have to minus 20-25 watts for safe usage, that means it is perfectly safe to use this converter for devices rated up to 30-40 watts max. I used this converter for about 6-8 hours while using my device and it worked flawlessly. It is a good voltage converter if one uses the US device continuously for hours together as it is transformer based. I can say that it is safe to use this converter provided you know your device wattage rating and use it responsibly. This device is a bit heavy(as it is transformer based) and comes with two points although I would have liked it to have three points. But it does its job and does not heat up as I expected it to, which is good. The build quality is good but the finishing could have been better, anyways this is a voltage converter so its ok to not look fancy. Amazon as always was prompt on delivery and the billing process was nice and easy.

This converter does a good job but after 30 mins of use, it gets very hot so be careful when you are disconnecting it and removing it. We bought this for our air filter which we purchased from the U.S and needed a converter. It worked well with no hassle. However after 30 mins of usage when I went to disconnect it, it was so hot, I dropped it. So not only did I get burnt, it got cracked and because it's heavy left a hairline crack on my floor tile. Be careful if you have kids around

I would have given rating 4 but I am giving 3 because product wise it is cheap compared to the other products of similar types available in the market but the black tape in the middle is not properly fastened. During the first use I got electric shock. I would recommend before using it you should wrap it around with more black tapes.

This is transformer based and it works very nicely. But would be better if provided with 3-pin configuration. Although, I just dismantled the item, took the transformer out and put it inside a cabinet to make it 3-pin compatible. Do it at your own risk, only if you know what you are doing. Otherwise, this item works out of box, just take care of the wattage that is mentioned. Don't overload the tiny soul

Product is very good. I have purchased it to convert voltage from 220 to 110 . I am very happy. Heats up after use of 4-5 hours continuous use. It is working as expected. Would suggest to purchase after comparing your volts and watts requirement.

I purchased Sony Three in one from Amazon. Later on I was confused to run it as it required 110 Volt. Maxcon Voltage Converter helped me to convert 220 v to 110 v.

Bought this step down transformer for a coffee maker, it didn’t work. The product doesn’t come one despite this being the plugged in. I had not noticed that the product is non returnable. I am stuck with a defective product. Amazon should atleast check quality before they sell products. Shame on you Amazon. This is my 2nd bad experience with Amazon this week
