AmazonBasics Ventilated Laptop Stand (Black)

I bought this because my wrists used to cramp up after some time on the keyboard. As usual, excellent quality from Amazon Basics. Top notch mild steel, excellent metal bends and wire mesh and Seamless welding and smooth powder coating. Tough enough to hold even the heaviest desktop replacement/ gaming laptops.Much, much better than many competitors. There are 7 stages of elevation for the base that hold the laptop. Everybody will find her/his comfort level easily. A cable holder is included which is a nice touch. One humble suggestion to Amazon: if you increase the length of the piece of metal anchors the base to the notched ramp on the bottom just by a few inches, the base will be elevated by those many inches to a more vertical stance and then, this stand will be JUST PERFECT as a base for viewing tablets and Kindle. I am going to mod the existing setup for this.

I used this laptop for my Acer Predator 2019 gaming laptop since it lets the fans underneath ventiliate the air coming from long periods of gaming properly. Since my laptop has good fans it saved me some money from buying heavy duty gaming fans Its a sturdy and well built set up and used it almost everywhere from bed, table, sofa etc However its been a little over a month and i think its starting to bend/deform in some places. thats kinda expected since my laptop is around 2 and half kgs so i have begun to doubt how long i have till the stand gets bent in some weird way permanently. when i mean bent, im talking about the metal mesh platform not the sturdy metal borders and the base. the mesh is little light compared to the rest of the build but that makes sense since its meshed and allows good airflow. Also the inclination setting puzzles me a little, so far ive used it at lowest inclination and it works perfectly. i just dont see myself raising the laptop higher but i suppose it feels nice that the option is there. Definiatley worth the money. i cannot stress this enough. A lot of high end cooling pads are in a pricey range and i didnt want to settle for laptop cooling pads in a middle price range since you sacrifice portability which is where this stand really shines. In conclusion, get it if your laptop thermals are good and you dont need high end cooling fan and need portability instead. I just chuck it in my bag. ive even flown with it in my backpack so no issues with airport security either. if you dont mind your backpack being a little heavy, that is. (laptop stand + my gaming laptop in bag was around 3kg in weight) Can also be used for work, which i havent personally done since i do most of my schoolwork on my mac which i dont really require this stand for.

This is the best product I found on Amazon. I bought this product in 2019 post my backache issue due to working on laptops. Looked for many products only but it didn't seem right. Also the elevation was not as high. I finally found this and I bought it. It is adjustable. You can manage the height per your needs. It is durable and washable too. Very sturdy and great looks. Tip: Please buy a separate keyboard if you have any backache issues. It'll help reduce stressing your body and for the correct sitting posture. (Suggested by my Physiotherapist).

It's built good. I bought in 2018 for my gaming laptop. Isn't that heavy so you can put it on your lap. Playing racing games or even FPS having this on your lap, you won't feel the heat or it's weight. Just make sure to not lift it with one hand in the center of the base with your laptop on it. I've been doing so for long and one of the hings broke due to that. Putting Fevikwik gel has been working fine. I took these pictures when I fixed it for the second time in the fifth year of it's usage. Overall it has been one of my best purchases on Amazon so far. ❤️

I wanted a stand that could reduce the heat generated by my laptop. This does that up to an extent. It can't beat the stands with fans and neither is this something you can use on your lap or bed. It needs to be seated on a sturdy surface. I use it on my desk. The ability to increase the height of the laptop with its stand helps with my line of vision. The laptop support hinges have a decent rubber foam that's neither very soft nor hard. The top is sturdy enough to support the laptop and is generally sturdy. However, it's mildly wobbly. The bottom part of the stand is well seated and doesn't wobble. It's only the mesh that stands up. I felt this when I rested my palms on my laptop to type. For the cost point, it's a decent stand.

Its a good product with options to set the laptop at different levels. There are notches at the bottom of the stand to hold the laptop from sliding which is made of metal. While there is a soft cushion on the inner side, it ends up scratching the base of the laptop (my new HP probook got scratched badly). Also the notches end up chaffing & hurting the palm(just above the wrist), which needs to be sorted as thats the biggest, dampener in an otherwise good product.

Great quality stand and good value for money. I've been using it for two months now. The hinges that protude from the bottom of the stand actually make this stand useless - there's no way to type without hurting your wrists - but I've found a workaround. I've stuck two erasers in the groove of both the hinges so that the laptop can rest on top of the erasers. See photo. Since it's erasers, the laptop doesn't slip from its place. Only this workaround has made the stand usable, and once the hinges issue is fixed, the stand works really well. The mesh is good for ventilation and the stand is sturdy enough for daily use. I've knocked off one star for the bad design of hinges.

I had received a gift from my friend 3 yrs back and it was an amazon basics product, from that time on i trust this brand to provide standard products with good quality and without unnecessary bells and whistles. The product is great. Once you have the laptop on it you wont even notice that something is behind the laptop. Sturdy and elegant! I love it and i have bought a Targus wireless keyboard along with it as you cannot type on the laptop once its on any kind of stand and will damage your wrists
