These hoses are quality and good looks all in one package ! They have a 90 degree bend near one end, which enables them to be placed closer to the wall. Trying to get my washer closer to the wall with the old rubber, straight hoses, is precisely the reason I felt so compelled to buy these beauiful braided steel hoses - that being having to use my clean towels to dry up everything in my laundry room, including my floor, walls, and ceiling too, when that old hose did, finally burst, was a sort of stupid irony, as that created an extremely large amount of dirty, soppin' wet laundry. Laundry that could not wait, because mildew is GROSS ! These hoses are gorgeous, as hoses go, one having blue fibers and one having red fibers braided into the strong, steel, burstproof covering of these new, angled-end beauties, making it so much easier identifying exactly which is the cold, and which is the hot hose. This hose set is a great value, and is of high quality. They are color coded, blue for cold, red for hot, and very easy to install. The 90 degree ends are genius, the hoses look great when installed and all connections come with new rubber washers. I ordered 60 inch hoses to replace the old 48" all rubber hoses, which looked ready to blow! You will never forget the feeling coming home and hearing the rush of a ruptured hot water washing machine hose. That happened to me ONCE, never again. This new hose set gives me great confidence that I will never have to deal with THAT mess a second time.
