Guard Security 1620X12 solid brass thin padlock. Keyed differently, 12-pack. A 12-pack assortment containing four each: 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" solid brass thin padlocks. Rust proof brass bodies with strong chrome plated steel shackles. Brass pin cylinder resists picking, provides long life and smooth operation. Each Guard Security padlock is individually tested at the factory to ensure smooth performance before packaging. Rust resistant nickel plated steel keys and common keyway for duplication. Review: not keyed alike, you get 12 locks in 3 different sizes, shackle's aren't even hardened, keyholes are super thin which coupled with the aluminium keys makes it very likely for a key to snap off in the lock. the only "security feature" on the lock would probably only be the tiny key holes which makes it hard to get picks and other tools fit into. but overall, these are just shitty locks Review: The body of the lock is solid, and the shackle seems to be reasonably pry-resistant. However, the actual locking mechanism is terrible. There is some discussion among other customers about whether these locks are keyed alike or not. They are not: a careful examination of the keys will reveal that they are cut differently. However, the lock tolerances are so sloppy that most of the locks will open for a different key of the same size lock. In other words, *my* keys have about an 80% chance of being able to open *your* padlocks. I was also able to open more than half of the locks in this package without any key at all, using only a single piece of spring steel. To put this in context: picking a lock requires two tools in nearly all cases. Using a single tool is not picking the lock, it's hoping that the lock is defective. If this were a fingerprint scanner, it would accept your fingerprints, my fingerprints, the dog's fingerprints, or a wad of Play-Doh. I'm giving this two stars because the lock body is, again, solid. Some locks in this price range can be simply pulled open with enough fiddling; these seem pretty sturdy in that regard. I might use these in a locker room, where the lock isn't meant to keep people out so much as it is to acknowledge that this locker is yours. And hey... if you lose your key, ask around. Some random stranger may well have a spare on their keyring for ya.
