Clean fit and straight forward install!
Got this for my 2010 vw tiguan, everything was great except the backup rca cable was non functional so i had to take everything apart in the car again and buy a second cable and run it. With the new cable it works great. And I was reimbursed for the second cable. All in all very pleased and would recommend

Close the trunk lid once you have it wired up if you dont latch trunk no power
Product is great I wired it into tail light ground and it powers off of the reverse light and the constant power red line either works well, my biggest struggle was that I installed the handle and then ran wiring to head unit to check everything worked before going to the trouble of hiding the wires, could not get it to work checked all wires with volt meter googled everything still nothing, however if the latch button is pushed to open the trunk it kills the power to the camera so even though the trunk lid was in the down position I had not fully closed it it was just resting shut, after losing my mind for 3 hours I closed the trunk properly put the car in reverse in disgust and on it came perfect. I felt a bit stupid but the camera has no instructions so ??? the quality and fit is very good would recommend it. Red wire to power black red wire to ground, and make sure that you are plugging the AV adapter into the correct place on the back of radio mine had a factory plug in it that I had to take out that was VW wiring for a factory camera dont just assume its the empty slot

Easy install and working great!
This seems your best option if you have a car that it fits. It looks like a factory install, much better than the aftermarket ones you have to stick on or screw to the license plate frame. Replacing the trunk handle also meant no holes to drill with this since the handle goes through to the inside of the trunk. Makes for a very easy installation! It's worth noting that on pretty much all of the VAG cars this will fit, they use a light control module which will not tolerate tapping into reverse lights for power, so don't plan on doing that. Luckily the video cable for this also has a power wire embedded in it. If you're installing (or already have) an aftermarket radio, the adaptor that interfaces with the VW bus has a reverse power wire already in it, so all you have to do is run the one video cable, then wire up the power to that output on the harness, and the other end to the camera. Very simple and easy and no hunting around for brake light wires required! My only hesitation is that it's a pretty cheap camera and made by essentially a no name chinese company, so who knows how it will hold up. But luckily it's cheap, and if it breaks the wires are already run so swapping in a new one will be quick and easy.

Works nice
Installed on a 2012 passat SEL. Hardest part of the install was running video wire(which wasn’t hard, just a little time consuming ) Other than that, pretty simple. Replaces oem trunk release. fit is perfect and looks oem. This camera was installed at the same time an Eonon head unit was installed. No need for power from reverse lights. Head unit has a power wire for the camera so i just used the power wire that is on the video cable, grounded to a bolt on the trunk. I cut the little green loop wire for the grid lines that everyone complains about. The head unit has its own grid system that works great. Video quality is pretty good for an inexpensive camera. Would definitely recommend.

Garbage
Purchased this camera and don’t have a chance to install it until later. I installed it and spent so much time trying to connect it to multiple devices to find out the camera don’t work from the beginning. Now it’s too late to return. Very dissatisfied. Not to mention I bought all the other components to make it work with the original stereo for the 2012 VW Jetta with navigation unit. All for nothing a many hrs of wasted time.

Camera is clear!
I ended up ordering this as the radio I installed came with reverse camera - that one didn't work but most of all it was one that was mounted to license plate. This looks so much better & looks more OEM. I followed instructions with this and it didn't work as well on first attempt. Tip - splice the red to fuse box for more power & it works beautifully and triggers when reversing automatically. Love it! Check out the pics - day & night. Excellent quality.

Fits Well Has Interference and No Idea What the Guide Lines are doing
EDIT: I removed the old camera from the trunk and the interference remained. I tried using ferrite cores in the trunk to try to reduce the interference but no luck. I'm guessing it's just the camera. I finally installed this today. It works well with my RCD330. I did get the delay box/filter (Green Yi sells it as well) to go with this. I have a 2014 VW Passat and it fits perfectly. I left the old camera inside the trunk (which might be causing my issue below) as it was attached to the cable harness. I might go back and pull that out to see if it resolves my issue. The two issues I'm having are: 1) there is interference in the video feed and 2) the guide lines swing left and right. I'll try to remove the old camera to, hopefully, get rid of the interference. The camera guide lines do indeed turn but I have no idea what's telling them how to swing back and forth. Maybe its looking at the ground and kinda trying to tell which way you're turning then swing the guide lines. They aren't very useful, I would rather have a camera without any guide lines, or just some for distance from the rear. Other than that this is good. The camera points in the right direction and helps me when backing up.

Looks OEM, and both the camera and latch work perfectly. I cut the green loop wire to get rid of the grid lines as another reviewer recommended. No complaints.
