I am very happy with this purchase hence the rating. The speaker is solid in construction with some weight, has a quality feel and is a good compromise between size and portability. The sound is surprisingly good considering the small speakers and price. The bluetooth synced easily with no noticeable lag when watching video. The direct audio connection via 3.5mm jack works equally well with no issues. They will produced load clear sound much more than I require for listening to DVDs and music when on a boat or camping. I don't require really long battery life as they can be charged while in use using standard usb car or mains chargers. However, the reported charge does not seem to decrease very fast when used for a few hours. In terms of sound quality I believe that physics dictates that you need very large speakers to produce a good clean base with very low frequencies. Also at least 5 speakers are required to fill a room with surround sound. A small unit like this will not produce really low base and the location of the speakers will be detectable no matter how loud they are played. However, due to signal processing, passive base reflectors and speaker design they do produce a reasonable impression of base such that you can lose yourself in the music without constantly being reminded that are listening to a portable unit. I am not sure why they are advised as 30 watts other than to compete with other outlandish claims made by other sellers on Amazon and a misperception that this is an important indicator of sound output. Clearly you would not want a portable device to take anything like that wattage otherwise the battery would be exhausted in minutes or be larger than car battery. However, it means nothing as it is an indication of peak power the speakers could handle for a few milliseconds and has little to do with sound output which depends on efficiency. They can go much louder than normal listening volume. They produce a good clean sound as good as my Echo Dots version 5 but can go much lounder.

This speaker is surprisingly good which I wasn’t expecting it. I pair it with an iPad to watch movies and has fantastic sound and bass. I think easily beats others that cost like £100. It has very clear sounds , perfect for 1 room. Excellent value for money. Good battery life , I think I charge it every 4-5 days but you can still use it when charging.

Grandsons loves it

Fully tested and the playtime (without lights on) lasts up to 8 hours on full charge, the sound is FANTASTIC for a 30watt speakers, Bass is good enough for small speakers, and I love the Lights with multi-colours. All in all a GREAT choice and well built product for £29. Happy customer!
