So, to start off I'm a freshman in college with a lot of very writing heavy classes and this laptop is perfect for that use. I do use it to play small games and unless I sit and play for 5 hours it stays relatively cool. Its very light weight and delicate on its own (I purchased an industrial case to go with it, just to be safe.) I like that this laptop comes with a touch screen, it's very handy! All in all this is a 5/5 product in my layman opinion.

I ordered this item for school and it came perfectly boxed haven’t had issues with it and loving the color! It works perfect and is lightweight perfect for always on the go! Definitely would recommend very good investment! Worth your money and time.

I’m a novel writer, not a coder or gamer. I don’t do rendering or streaming, so I don’t need extreme performance. What matters to me is reliability, quiet operation, and smooth everyday use, and this notebook delivers on those points. I’ve researched nearly every notebook and laptop that uses a Snapdragon chip, and I ultimately chose the Surface Laptop. I’ve tested devices with the Snapdragon X Plus, Snapdragon X, and Snapdragon X Elite, and in everyday use they all feel very similar in speed and responsiveness. During my research IT experts warned me about app compatibility, but I mainly use Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Office. If your workflow is similar, this laptop will work perfectly fine. For my needs—Microsoft Office, ChatGPT, and Grok—the laptop that uses Snapdragon X chip is more than fast enough, especially if you’re on a budget. Many reviewers say Snapdragon laptops run quietly and stay cool, and I found that to be true. The system is nearly silent, and even the SSD is quieter than others I’ve used. However, despite the hype around battery life, I didn’t find it to last significantly longer than comparable Intel or AMD Ryzen laptops. Some people describe this device as Microsoft’s answer to the MacBook, and I can see why. The Surface Laptop feels premium, reliable, and durable. Its thin and lightweight design makes it feel more like a high‑end notebook than a traditional laptop. There are cheaper laptops out there, but many of them feel poorly built, too big, too heavy, and won’t hold up over years of use. The Surface Laptop, by contrast, feels like it’s made to last. It is not the cheapest notebook, but you get what you pay for: quality, speed, and reliability. I also appreciate that it supports Wi‑Fi 7 instead of Wi‑Fi 6. This notebook is extremely thin, very light to carry and store, and genuinely looks great in person. Overall, I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars because of the limited port selection (only two USB‑C ports), the proprietary charging connector, and the average battery life.

Awesome little laptop. Thought I had ordered the 15" screen like my last Surface, but I actually like this smaller screen better. (13.8") Went with the Dune color because it was $70 cheaper! Who cares about the color of your lappy.

I ordered this laptop for my daughter to use for school. The trackpad only worked intermittently so we had it replaced with a new device. We received a replacement laptop within 24 hours but the trackpad on the replacement laptop did not work at all. We ended up getting a refund and purchased a completely different brand of laptop. If you're considering purchasing this laptop I would advise you go look at something else and save yourself the headache.
