Great read! Enjoyed throughout, good pictures, subjects were in keeping with the passages of time and descriptions were very picturesque. Quite the stories!

This series is great to have as a writer as a source reference as it not only gives a quick rundown of subjects but gives exacting sources for them so the reader (or writer in my case) can go to it to explore the complexities further. As well The Mythology book is well rounded bringing the mythologies of the African and other cultures into the genre once only dealing with Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythos.

DK Big Ideas Editions are wonderful publications that are easy to understand for people who are Visual learners.

Really good for a simple synopsis of mythology from different cultures. I read this before I started on some of Hesiods work and I'm glad I did.

Lovvvve this book! I am a grown a** adult and it was a wonderful read! It has pictures, art, timelines, maps etc! It’s also laid out in a very easy-to-learn former. It makes you want to keep reading!

This is a great overview of all mythologies. Albeit not comprehensive, it gives you enough information to lead you to explore further.

this book was a real eyeopener in places, especially the story about the goddess inanna/anannan, also known as the goddess ishtar, "possibly" being a hermaphrodite. this was featured in the asian mythology section. the dogon people in western african mythology was quite interesting too: they could have been aliens because they are described in this book as green with red eyes. i don't know if any of these people have survived, but it may explain the area fifty one issues about extra terrestrials. if "they" are living amongst us, maybe there has been an attempt to keep it quiet by the powers that be because they don't want there to be a panic. or maybe earth was visited by these astronauts tens of thousands of years ago? maybe human beings are relative newcomers to this planet and have interbred with other superior lifeforms? maybe maybe maybe. maybe i'm just reading too much into it? maybe i should never have watched the film invasion of the bodysnatchers? maybe you have been drinking too much oasis citrus punch drink, wendy howarth lol! this book was thought provoking for me, and i'm glad i finally got around to reading it. i'm going to peruse the copy of dk the lgbtq+ history book i got some time ago next. i doubt it will blow my mind in the way the dk mythology book has, but you never know, do you? "calling occupants of interplanetary craft....we are your friends" as the carpenters sang in the seventies. read this book and you too may be astounded. maybe....babe.

Livro excelente. Ainda estou lendo, mas a obra parece contemplar os principais deuses ou histórias mitológicas ao redor do mundo. O livro chegou em ótimo estado e antes da data prevista.
