DSCk 10m - 2x1.5mm² - AWG 16 - flat speaker-cable | flexible OFC copper for Hi-Fi | low profile

I recently upgraded the amplifier on my TV and that meant upgrading the speaker cable that ran up the back of some built in shelves. The old cabling was of the thin "bellwire" type and I had despaired of finding something suitable that would fit. This stuff did, it really is scarcely more than 2mm in thickness. It's actually a bit of a surprise the number of strands that appear when you strip the cable. Cable quality is good and easily matches the sound of standard 79 strand OFC. If you need a really flat solution for your cable this will not insult your ears. TIP 1: Cut both left and right cables to the same length for best stereo imaging, it doesn't matter if they're both on the long side. TIP 2: Buy a Firestick the next time they're on offer. It has an App for Spotify that sounds nice when you feed your TV audio through decent speakers. If you only have digital out on your TV use a Fiio Digital to Analogue converter to bridge the gap to your amp.

Nice and thin, flexible and easy to route. Meter length numbers are great for measuring runs. 30m comes as a neat roll, but soon gets more messy because there is no hub to the roll, minor irritation while unreeling.

Gives a great signal and the fact that it's flat meant I could double sided tape it to my white skirting boards so it all looks nice and tidy.

Fits nicely under carpet between gripper and skirting board, so cannot be seen. Easy to wire on banana plugs. Delivering great music quality

Good quality cable and able to lay flat under most flooring types.

Using this (the 1.5mm2 version) to drive two Dali Zensor 1 (6 Ohm) surround sound speakers. It seems to work very well. The cable is extremely flat, so will fit neatly under the carpet. The individual copper strands seem to be woven together, but I had no problem pulling them apart in order to fit them into banana plugs at either end.

The cable itself is fine, the trouble is is can't be laid under carpet. Even with a thick expensive carpet and top quality underlay, the cable runs are clearly visible. I put the cables in before our carpet was fitted, carefully taped them down with duck tape avoiding any turns or kinks (difficult because the cable won't easily go round corners, the flat profile means the bend radius is huge, I'd guess something like 10m). The next day the carpet was fitted and the cable runs were immediately obvious. I had to source some traditional cable, get the carpet fitters back and ask them to lift the carpet and cable and run the new cable in the more traditional manner by putting it in a narrow gap between the underlay and grip rod.

Tussen de ondervloer gelegd en daardoor geen niveau verschil. Precies de kabel die ik zocht om af te zijn van die lelijke kabels boven de vloer of gedoe om ze achter de plinten te moeten prutsen.

Livré en bobine facile à couper, a permis de relier des enceintes arrières en passant 2 de ces câbles dans 1 seule petite goulotte plastique de section rectangulaire. Le résultat visuel est donc propre et discret. Pas équipé pour mesurer strictement la performance du cuivre lui-même, mais en pratique tout semble OK (enceintes large spectre).

Für meine Verlegung war das wirklich klasse. Etwas breiter, dafür schön flach.
