This band hit the metal scene like a (sorry) house afire, going double platinum with their 1990 debut and charting with three singles from the album: "Don't Treat Me Bad," "All She Wrote," and the power ballad to end all power ballads, the #5 hit "Love of a Lifetime." The accolades soon followed: FireHouse won the American Music Award for Best New Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Band and best newcomer nods from a host of music mags. And you can see, er hear why: this is glam metal perfectly polished (by producer Dave Prater of Dream Theater fame) for pop radio, with hooks and harmonies galore. But it's never been out on LP in North America; now, we at Real Gone are bringing one of signature metal albums of the '90s to "smoke and fire" vinyl as a tribute to lead vocalist C.J. Snare, who just passed away from cancer this year. Includes inner sleeve with lyrics. Folks have been waiting for this one! Review: Great edition for all glam metal fans! - Amazing album full of big hits. Collector's edition in fire and smoke vinyl color. A recommendation for your collection! Review: A Crackin' Debut Rock Album . - Released in 1990 I can still clearly remember 'Love Of A Lifetime' receiving a lot of airplay on radio as if it were yesterday and deservedly so,it's a great rock ballad and the rest of the album stands up too,all the songs still sound remarkably fresh. Firehouse could be compared to Bon Jovi,C.J. Snare is a brilliant vocalist and Bill Leverty is a guitar virtuoso and the composition of the songs are as good or better than a lot of Bon Jovi material of the same era,but unfortunately,Firehouse never achieved the same global success or reach despite-in my opinion-being the better band........rock 'n' roll can be a strange thing. Anyway, can't wait until I listen to their 1993 release 'Hold Your Fire'.

This House is Ablaze
Firehouse came to the 80's Hair Metal Scene at a time when music was about to change to Grunge. Unfortunately Firehouse didn't receive the recognition that they deserve, they are a very capable band, who wrote songs that should have had them up there with the likes of Motley Crue and Poison. Having owned this album on vinyl, it was one of the ones that I wanted on cd as I didn't want to miss the band.

Very good
I read somewhere that Firehouse was the last hair-metal band to break through. And I have to say that this album is really really good. I bought it in 1990 when it was released and I still listen to it alot 16 years later...
