I had read much about these and decided to give them a try. They did not live up to the hype. They made my guitar sound like it was on life support, at best. Sounded really dark, and like some very old grimy strings. Soon after I replaced them with my usual Erbie Ball Slinkys and went with 10s on my super strat and... BOOM! It came to life. I had not fully realized how dreadful the GHS strings made my guitar sound until the switch back to Ernie Ball. The difference was like night and day.

I had used Boomers when I was younger and I liked them just fine. Then I played Dean Markley strings for awhile. Then Ernie Balls. Then D'Addario. Then I recently ordered several sets of Boomers to try again. This left me with one question: Why in the hell did I stop using GHS Guitar Boomers in the first place?
