Excellent
Excellent. Top tip, use less glue than you think and a wooden (orange) cuticle stick to push down on strip as glue dries. Next day my nails 1st/2nd on both feet were painful to walk on. That eased after 1st day. Within a week my nails are straightening. The pincer curve has almost gone. One strip popped off at one side, simply filed glue off, reapplied glue and stuck back down. So happy with results so far.

Bad quality, a waste of money
The plastic sheet doesn't stay glued to the nail. It falls off before creating an effect on the nail.

Review from my mother, who used the product: Like many, I bought the Curve Correct kit based on user reviews. I seemed to have inherited my mother’s foot shape, and just like hers did, my toenails started to curve a lot as I got older. Curve Correct truly worked as advertised on my big toes, and greatly relieved the pain of the increasingly ingrown nails. I was so pleased that I now want to order the ultra-low tension braces for my smaller toenails, since they are starting to curve a lot also. Before buying the first kit, I read through the many online tips and hints for application. If you want to stop your toe pain, my best advice is to: a) read all of those online tips from other users; b) read through the entire instructions before you start; c) have someone help you if you have any trouble reaching your toes at all; d) both of you read each step again as you come to it; and e) allow enough time to do a careful job – don’t try to rush it. I did all this and each brace stayed on for almost a month before needing reattachment. They felt like a mild pinching for the first two days, but not bothersome enough to even take aspirin. I did get some bruising, but that was partly because I hit my toes on a car door the day after applying (but the brace stayed on!) so I just left it on and let the bruising grow out. It did take patience (my husband’s!) to apply every month or so, but really helped flatten out my big toe nails. Besides the life-changing freedom from foot pain, it’s now much easier to cut those nails and get a pedicure. That’s why I want to try to flatten out the smaller nails as well, before they get worse. I’m grateful I didn’t wait any longer to use the kit on my big toes. Curve Correct does take time to work, but why spend all that time simply hurting when you can use the time to do something about it? I also love that it’s a family owned business. In fact, when I wrote them (late on a Friday and more than a year-and-a-half after purchasing my kit) to ask about the lower-tension braces, an actual human got back to me - on Friday night - with a carefully thought out, detailed, and helpful answer. That level of customer care thoroughly impressed me. I purchased the kit in January 2024, and am writing this review in September 2025. This is the first time I have ever reviewed anything - ever. A product doing what it’s advertised to do? Expected. Service like that? A happy surprise in this day and age. This company has earned all of its good reviews, and I wanted to add mine to the pile. Thanks, Curve Correct!

I ordered this in the beginning of October of 2019 and am writing this review at the end of February 2020. Now I’m going to give some backstory: I started having issues with ingrown toenails on the big toe of both feet in high school, and then I was stupid enough to have enlisted and made it worse because oh my god, those boots okay? So without saying how oooold I am we’re talking 20+ years of ingrown toenails, tried like every thing I could find, and even had a surgery that didn’t work but was so very traumatizing and lost me half a toenail for more than a year, and it all failed. This. Works. I had this on my wishlist for a while before buying, because it IS expensive, but I finally hit the point where I was like “it looks promising so let’s get it because this is getting past unbearable and I am tired of doing nail trimming yoga to do the necessary pruning to have painless toenails.” I ordered it, it came, and yes I read the instructions in advance before trying it. We’ll get to the tips for how to use it later, but suffice to say that it DOES take a little practice to get it on really good. However it isn’t as hard as some of the other reviews make it out to be, once you figure it out. But again, more on that later. I’m going to start with it wasn’t the most comfortable thing at first, not at all. It made my toes tender when I started them, for a couple days but no more than that. Yes, it could be interpreted as a bruised feeling, but frankly the ingrown toenails hurt me worse and I have a higher than normal pain tolerance anyway so it was tolerable for me. for others, putting this on before a couple days of staying at home might be the best course of action. However, I noticed a change right away. For me, because the cuts I used on my nails was so deep, I placed 2 strips the first time I put them on; one at the mid-nail to lift the cut out of the skin groove, and the other at the tip to keep it up, too. (I did put it on other toes, as well, that was a terrible idea, please check the tips for the different strengths because it’s important. But it worked on those too, just with bruising painfulness.) The relief was pretty much immediate, no lie the pain from the ingrown nails was gone nearly the moment I got it on. It was tender and sensitive where it had been dug in for a few days to a week, but even that little bit got better, too. And then was the slow growing out process, and reapplying, and getting way better at that too, and even more waiting. Now to the reason I have done the review now, and how I know it works 100%. It’s been about a month since the last time I had them on, and I will be putting them back on for another period soon to continue this, but last week I was binging on Netflix and had a foot propped up and absently ran my finger over my big toenail. It. Felt. Weird. I freaked out, because why would I have a ridge in my nail?? But lo, after inspecting, I got really really REALLY excited, because I DO have a ridge, but it’s not a ridge. IT IS NEW NAIL GROWTH IN THE APPROPRIATE CURVE TO NOT GROW BACK INGROWN. So that right there proved to me that while I was sure it was working because the ingrown nail is over the skin and long enough not to go back in, and it’s not hurting, and everything is fine. It has corrected the sharp curve cutting it back so far created, and all the new nail growth is going to be normal again. I CAN’T STRESS ENOUGH THAT IT WAS A PROCESS BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT. Now, the tips and tricks. 1. The biggest one is that this is the curve strength for the big toenail, not any other nail. You can order other strength kits on their website, or as they specify you can also narrow this one to be weaker for smaller nails. Don’t just put this on anything but the big toe. If you put it on the big toe and it feels bruising, take it off and thin it out, it’s too strong for that nail. 2. You can contact their customer service to order new strips sans the kit. 3. When applying, roughing the nail is so needed, it makes the glue stick better. Make sure you take that step instead of skipping it. 4. A pair of tweezers to sit the strip with glue on it in place is very helpful, and not putting too much glue is also helpful. Less is more. 5. Don’t use the swabs in the kit for what they’re for. Use regular swabs, and take the ones from the kit and use those wooden ends to hold the strip down while the glue sets. The longer you hold it tight to the nail while the glue dries, the longer lasting it is. Rotate the swab so it doesn’t get glued down while doing this. 6. The strips stay on for ages if properly applied, and the company has reassured me that you can reuse them. So do that instead of ordering more if you can! 7. If you are ready to reapply the strip, you can help with the initial “I just put this on and the ingrown area hurts as it lifts out” with liberal application of Neosporin and many bandaids to keep it in. Pretty sure that is all the tricks I learned. It takes practice. If you fail at first, keep trying. Use acetone or something to clean the glue off, and go for it again until you get it right. It’s like anything else, you are not going to get it perfect the first try. Perfection isn’t even necessary, good enough will work because that is what happened to me most of the time. This product works. I can’t believe it, honestly, I am still in delighted shock that it’s corrected so much to give me perfect new nail growth. 20+ years of ingrown toenails? Fixed. UPDATE 11/2020: I see tons of negative reviews, so I wanted to continue my own positive story. I am still using them, I haven't managed to wear them nonstop like I know I should, but it turns out the older I get the more V shaped my nails become like my grandmothers snaggletoes. However, popping these bad boys on every couple of months has made my life so much easier and pain free. I still do have good nail growth, the problem is no longer the big toes for the most part. The little toes next to them have started that old lady shape, and I just trim a strip thinner and glue it in place and BOOM. Little toe is tender for a couple days, not painful I am super careful of that, and now little toe does not give me issues with bad nail shape. I imagine to counter that hereditary problem I might be looking at lifelong usage, but when the alternative is pain or having a procedure to stop the nail growth on the sides of the nail (which looks very unsightly to me, I'd like to skip it personally if I can, because I live in a beachy place and open toed shoes are a daily thing) which I don't want. I'm still very pleased with the product and I hope that my tips and trips help anyone who uses them.

I purchase a ton of stuff on Amazon, and I don't leave very many reviews, but I have to leave a review for this one. This is a totally unbiased review, I spent my own money on it and did my own research on it, and it is literally worth it's weight in gold and more!!!!!! I have always had ingrown toenail's, but I got so much worse during my pregnancies, and when I lived in a state that was cold and needed to wear closed toe shoes all of the time. My toenails are curved and U-shaped very badly, and I always told everyone that I felt like I had a little knife or a large needles stabbing me in the corner of my toe skin on both of my big toes. One of them was always worse than the other, but both of them were pretty bad. I read reviews and contacted up a podiatrist about this, and the horror of what they do when you have a badly ingrown toenails is absolutely horrific, expensive, debilitating, and includes all lot of pain, and when I say a lot I've read a lot a lot a lot of pain. I really didn't want to have my big toenails cut off, so I spent $50 and purchased this product. The first time you buy it takes a while because you have to read all of the instructions and apply it very carefully with the glue. You may even mess up and need to do it again the first time. I found them to last about a month, which is about how long I go between pedicures, which is perfect. I only had them fall off before I needed another pedicure one time, on one side of my foot, because I cut the strip too long, and applied it with the glue poorly. Every other time it's lasted the full month, and I've had to take it off just because I needed a new pedicure because the polish was looking gross and my toenails were getting long. Be careful to tell the lady who does your pedicure or not to cut in a curved shape and not to cut into the side of the nailbed just to cut a straight line. This is very important so that the nail learns to grow out straight and trains itself. Also, don't soak your feet in the very hot water with the soap in it, just soak your heels and the other toes on the side. The only bad thing I have to say is that I used the five fiberglass pieces on both big toenails for five months, and it was great because even one to two days after the first use, all of my pain went away. This was tremendous for me because I had so much pain, and it was literally completely vanished by the 48 hours after the first use, for five entire months. Even after I ran out of the supplies and stopped using it, I had no pain for about 2 to 3 months, and then it started growing curved again so I re-purchased the product, and the pain was gone again. I think I will plan on using this for many many many years. It's literally an amazing product and I've recommended it to so many people. If you're even considering it, it's because you are in pain like I was, and do not hesitate, just buy the product, shell out the $50, and I promise you will not be dissatisfied. They have a guarantee, and will fully refund Gia, as well Amazon, if it doesn't work for you in anyway shape or form. I had so much pain for so many years, and I wish I would have known that this even existed. The only other thing besides suffering in silence or seeing a podiatrist for a really risky and painful and expensive toenail cutting off treatment is this $300-$400 product from Japan that you use for five minutes a day that's kind of a mechanical thing that pulls the toenail outwards. I didn't want to shell out that much money, have to do some routine every single day, and not know if it would work or how long it would work for. This product is great, just remove your polish completely and clean it exactly as it says in the instructions, and apply it the night before you go get a pedicure so that it sits for at least 12 hours on the clean nail. Then when you go get a pedicure, make sure that they don't use any acetone or any kind of nail polish remover or file or buff that nail, just cut it and fix your cuticle up a little bit, and then put all of the polish on top of that. The polish and the several coats of polish actually helps the strips last and remain on the nail. This is a great product, and I'm happy to answer any questions that you have about it, because I am a believer and it has worked so well for me. The only time that I have had pain over the past year was for a day or two after the three months that I ran out and stopped using it, and the pain came back, so I reordered, and then a day after I receive them the pain was gone again. It's really an amazing product. I'm so glad that this exists and somebody invented it.

This is an amazing product and the second time I have purchased it. Bought it 8 years ago from the seller directly. The ingrown toenail was pain free for 7 years. I am trying it again as I am having issues. Trying it before it gets too bad and the relief has been instant. Best way to make this item work: You must change the band every month to ensure it works and I have it put on by my pedicurist. The nail needs to be clean and dry. Good adhesion is the key. It will not stick if you use or have used creams or softeners on your nail for the past 2 weeks. Scruff the nail good where glue goes to make the glue and band adhere properly. I cannot put this on myself, you need help. When we glue it to the nail we use the end of the q-tip sticks provided to push and hold the band in place for good adhesion. The band needs to be flat against the nail for proper tension. Only glue the ends. It definitely works but it does take time. A full nail growth in order to work properly.

Like others, I was skeptical. But I figured after years of trying to find a solution for my big toe ingrowns I had nothing to lose before seeing a doctor. I had been packing dental floss under my nails and using toe spacers for some time. This was effective at first, but barely kept the problem at bay and the condition was traveling down the nail closer to the base where I could not reach it, ugh! I too came across this product while doing a search and decided to try it. At first, I did have some discomfort and one of the bands popped off and had to be re-attached. If this happens to you all I can say is: Stay the course and allow it to work! After the first day or two, the pain subsided as the instructions said it would. I realize now that was product working. It has been 2-3 weeks and I have noticed SUBSTANTIAL improvement. I no longer have scads of ingrown skin to remove or under the side of the nail/nailbed (sorry if this is TMI). Indeed, the nail does appear as if it is "flattening out" and no longer as curved. Sweet relief! I am very pleased and relieved to have found a solution to my problem. I hope this has corrected my condition and will continue to use it and update my review with longer term information. I highly recommend this product. $50 may seem a bit pricey, but consider the alternatives: Less expensive treatments that don't really work, or a visit to the doctor which will cost a lot more. Hope this helps and good luck! Update 2 months later: Some more info I can add to the original review... Very pleased with the long term results...WORKS! My big toe nails are flattening out, and though not 100% eliminated is MUCH improved over my previous condition. I expect as I continue to use this, it will continue to get better. Follow the directions and take the time to apply the strips properly. It is about a 20-30 minute process per foot so allot enough time (trim nails, excess skin, file, clean, then nail prep and application). When I do this, the strips stay on for weeks and seldom come off. When I am in a rush or do not follow the directions properly, the result is not as good. Trimming the bands can be a bit tricky, but I file the corners of each strip to eliminate the sharp edges. This is more comfortable and lessens the chance of the strip snagging on a sock and getting torn off.
