The Empath Experience: What to Do When You Feel Everything Review: Thank you, Sydney!!!!! - After recently being told that I may be an empath, I read a couple of other articles and books on the subject which definitively validated my empathic tendencies. But I was left with questions of: "How do I deal with all of these feelings? How can I protect myself from the overwhelming and sometimes frightening sensations that bombard me? How can I reclaim my power and protect myself from constantly feeling others emotions and better tune into my own needs and self-care?" My questions have been answered ... I felt like a bobblehead doll nodding up and down while reading this book! The stories of personal experiences, suggestions and tools have opened me up to an entirely different level of freedom, openness, confidence and clarity. I feel soooo much lighter, like I've released the weight of the world from my heart. I highly recommend this book. Thank you, Sydney, for your beautiful, soothing energy and guidance! Review: Seriously amazing - I think the word “amazing” gets over used. But this book is literally amazing. It was almost weird how much I related to the author. Almost like she was reading my mind. I read this book in 2 days during some major downtime at work. I didn’t buy this because I felt like I needed a “self help” book, but that’s exactly what this book was for me. I had no idea how much I actually needed this book until I read it. It’s nice to know that so many other people have had similar experiences in life as me. I actually think a wide range of people could benefit from this book. Even people who don’t identify with being an empath. I want to recommend this book to everyone I know.

From "Little Miss Fix It" to "Here's What You Should Do, Take It or Leave It!"
The review headline stems from my own experience as an empath. I am "the fixer," the one people seek for strength, insight and some good old-fashioned problem-dumping. During my best moments, I am Elinor Dashwood in Sense and Sensibility, keeping her life and the lives of those around her in order, but I easily slide into a Marianne-like emotional mess, sending out letters to the callous Mr. Willoughby. It depends on the situation. THE EMPATH EXPERIENCE is a great starter guide for empaths out there. What is an empath, you ask? It's someone who takes other people's angsts, dysfunction, abuse and psychosis as their own. Basically, we are the dumping ground for unstable people. Sydney Campos shares her harrowing story where she carried the weight of the world on her petite shoulders — to the point of using drugs and alcohol as a form of escape. She is an empath who skitters through codependency. Like all empaths and "fixers," she's had to find a healthy balance in her life. People seek her out whenever they need assurance, unconditional love, or an ego boost — only to emotionally abuse her in return. Campos's insight goes beyond that though. She explores the empath's mind from all angles, and you'd have to read the book for more information. As for me, I am no longer "Little Miss Fix It." I am now "Ms. Here's What You Should Do, Take It or Leave It!" I am also done with narcissists (narcissists LOVE empaths! Narcissist is the name, projection is the game). If someone starts calling me their bestie or love of their life out of the blue, or mentions a "crazy ex" or "dangerous stalker," then I'm out of there. Done. Not doing it, not again. It's happened to me quite a few times now, as far back as the early 2000s. It's almost like I'm a magnet to these people! But what if they truly have a crazy ex or dangerous stalker, you ask? I believe in hearing two sides of a story now. Let's just say that most victims of stalking don't maintain relationships or try to reconnect with their stalker. And I've been on both sides of that coin. Believe me, these "stalker victims" are narcopaths hoping to triangulate you. (Look up "toxic triangulation.”) When you're an empath, you think you're the one with the problem. For a short while, I thought I had Borderline Personality Disorder, until a psychiatrist rolled his eyes and said, "No, you don’t. This is why people should never self-diagnose." He told me that Borderlines and other DSM-5 disordered people rarely self-reflect. That's also how I learned about narcissistic abuse and empaths. There is little information out there about empaths and the people they attract. I am trying to gather as much information for a podcast, and this book is an amazing look into this "condition," for lack of a better word. Campos is not only relatable, she has the lifetime experience to educate on the subject. Downsides? It should've been longer. I give THE EMPATH EXPERIENCE four out of five Milk and Honey Iced Cappuccinos (Mini's Special!).

A must have for any Empath
This book is a must have for anyone who is an Empath. If you are learning, refreshing, teaching or just trying to gain more perspective, this book is amazing. I highly recommend it to all levels and learners as a great handbook. It helped answer so many questions for me and help create my empath boundaries. I originally bought this book on audio and quickly knew I needed a hard copy to bookmark, highlight and make notes. Love it!

I Bought This For My Aunt
I have nothing but excellent things to report about this textbook for empaths!!! My aunt sings the praises of the author of this textbook like crazy!!! I have bought my aunt a lot of books regarding her empathic and psychic abilities, and she has said that this one by far is the best one yet!!! Kudos to this empathic author for creating such a magnificent manuscript, that is helping empaths learn about themselves, and how to deal with such an incredible gift in a world that can be so overwhelming and draining to them, due to their ability to feel everything around them from everyone!!!

Highly recommend for anyone feeling overwhelmed with their gifts. You will feel so seen
I feel so seen. I would recommend to any empath. My therapist recommended me to read this book. And I’m so glad they did. I gained so much more understanding of my gift and didn’t know anything about empaths prior to this book. I really like the books format and activities. I have been telling everyone about this book. I would also recommend thIs book for others (family, friends) to help understand a little more of who you are as an empath.

Wow. This book is amazing. It makes me feel less alone in knowing that many empaths have walked the same path as me. She has many activities in this book that help with energy management, stress relief, etc. A great read.

If you identify as an empath this will soothe your soul in helping you know you’re not alone. You will be like ‘OMG that’s sooo me!’ multiple times which is a great resonance and comfort. Sydney shares beautiful and helpful information and stories. And the way she describes the experience of being an empath is eye-openly relatable and rewarding to read.

If you're new to the subject of empaths then this is a great read. The author writes with heart and vulnerability and the book contains some great suggestions on how you can work on your own relationship with your sensitivity.

I absolutely love this book. It has changed my life, which is why I choose to gift it to my special empathic friends. I received my personal copy as a gift and ordered a second copy on Amazon for a friend a while back and it looked the exact same as my version. I just ordered another copy for a different friend and it looks as if the printer ran out of ink. The front cover has different coloring and the title doesn't have raised text like it does on my copy. Inside, the text is grey and grainy instead of clear and blue and the highlighted section are grey instead of purple. It's not the most comfortable to read. Is this just an issue with this one copy or is this how the book is produced now? If it's an error can I exchange it?
