Mine arrived as expected. Correct sizing and correct style, despite having to order left and right separately. For those that have had issues with the thumb fraying after cutting, I highly recommend carefully going along the cut edge with a lighter before wearing. This seals up the loose threads just fine before they have a chance to get out of control. We'll see how this goes as far as how much it helps my pain. Purchased because my OT recommended this specific style. Feels fairly comfortable, less restrictive than traditional braces but it does feel like it stabilizes and strategically limits some movent in the thumb joint and wrist.

It fit my left hand real good

This really is a wonderful little brace, intended to support the thumb in particular. I gave it a try based on the recommendation of my Hand Surgeon, to relieve severe arthritis symptoms in my Left Thumb. The brace/splint/whatever you want to call it, WORKED WONDERS!! All of the 5-Star reviews are correct, this really does work. I had to wear mine for about 12 weeks before I got to maximum improvement, but it did work as advertised. I did mark down a start because the materials aren't properly sewn/sealed/whatever, and thus the materials start to fray, especially on the thumb extension -- less so around the palm circumference. The strap that secures it all also frays. After a number of weeks, even with alternating braces to allow for washing and air-drying, the brace shows considerable wear and fraying at the edges. For most purposes, that fraying is inconsequential -- the brace still works perfectly. However, if you're donning a suit and tie for Church or other purposes (work, social events), that fraying look is quite unbecoming. So, you might want to keep a spare one back, mostly unused, for use on special occasions.

I bought this for my mom when she is doing needlepoint. At 92, her arthritis makes activities using her hands difficult. The support she gets using this allows her to stitch as long as she wants and is adjustable with the straps. It is very comfortable to wear, and her hand does not get sweaty using it. This is the second one I have bought for her. The first one lasted quite a few years. The support she gets for the lowest joint in her thumb is remarkable.

Super quick delivery! I self diagnosed myself so not sure if this is what I need for the new pain in my thumb/hand but it seems to be working fine to immobilize my thumb and hopefully correct the issue. I would order again and recommend to others.

It's the correct size but it doesn't work when your using the thumb I still have pain. Works fine when you are doing nothing.

Broke my wrist and after months and months of grueling therapy - is was suggested to buy and use. Works ell - comfortable

This is what I don’t get. Ordered a Comfort Cool Thumb CMC Restriction Splint Patented Thumb Brace (medium plus-the shorter version) last week after a thumb joint arthroplasty and that brace was “returnable” and did not stink. Ordered another similar thumb CMC Restriction comfort cool brace a week later in size large because medium plus was not an option and the only differences were that this brace was longer, had an additional wrist strap, was non returnable and arrived with a strong chemical odor. Don’t get why one comfort cool brace is returnable while the other one is not even if it’s defective. I refuse to wear any brace with a bad chemical smell over a surgical incision esp after a joint arthroplasty! The policy needs to be changed and corrected. If no returns are allowed cause it’s a health issue why can I return the shorter comfort cool brace but not the longer one? How ridiculous and hypocritical of the return policy!

Kinda floppy doses not help with swelling

I ordered a large splint for my hand since my medium splint was sightly too small so I thought to try a bigger size. I was sent a large plus size splint which is useless to support my hand and wanted to exchange it for the right size that I ordered. It seems that this is not possible. I will have to report this to trading standards since the purchasing contract has been broken and not addressed to fix the problem. It is important since the splint does not function as required and was expensive.
