Wonderful ventless dryer that gets the job done!
I was looking for a ventless dryer for my RV. I had been drying my clothes over the winter hanging them up and just letting the heat dry them which worked. But in the spring I needed something else. So I ordered this little dryer and I couldn't be happier. It's relatively quiet. As long as you have the windows open and you use a dehumidifier afterwards, you don't get a lot of moisture. It does take a little longer to dry clothes, but that's to be expected. Lightweight clothes will dry in about 40 minutes. Anything heavier could take 80 to 120 minutes, but if you separate your clothes and don't put anything heavy like a towel in there, they'll dry much quicker. It's very modern looking almost space age like what you would think the Jetsons would have in their laundry room. It's deeper than it looks but it fits right on my RV kitchen counter. I love it and it's made my life a lot easier.

Small size, drys good size load, works great great buy
It fits on an end table. Drying time varies obviously based on clothing thickness. I can fit about 3 pair work pants and 4 shirts. The best dry time runs around hour and a half. I bought because you don't need outside access. Safe to run indoors Best purchase. Easy to clean. Cools down quick. Not bulky ( I've bought others that were bulky like 3ft tall) this one is like 24 in approx I can dry sheet sets, towels, but blankets are too big.

This dryer is a great product, works perfectly.
Arrived the day before the expected delivery date, which was a week and a bit after I placed the order. This clothes dryer just works. Opened the box, lifted it out, set it on the floor, plugged it in and turned it on. The top-mounted control panel was easy to figure out. Then we hand-washed some clothes and tried out the AI mode. Two heavy material shirts, 1.5 hrs later they were using the AI setting. Girlfriend's top and denim shorts, AI setting and dry 1.5 hrs later. Heavy corduroy slacks, AI setting, 1.5 hrs later they were dry. This dryer is light enough to move easily if you want or need to. It is, however, big enough to be a bit unwieldy, so while moving is relatively easy it is also a bit of trouble to do. Best advice is to set it where you want it and don't move it later. The package includes an oddly shaped bit of plastic, sort of J shaped, that the manual doesn't mention. This is an air-redirector for the exhaust from the unit, to direct it up. When facing the back the J-shaped piece's open end points up and the piece is placed into the left-side (exhaust) grill. Again, open duct pointing up. I had to fumble with it for a minute before it slipped into place. It is held by friction and allows you to place the dryer a bit closer to a wall.

Broke during first cycle
UPDATE: Trying to reach out to The Laundry Alternative's support was a fever dream. Two sentence response, telling me there's no need to call their number and they'll handle it through email. But when they said they'd send out another unit, I was given radio silence for a week. I asked for any update, and didn't hear back. Went through Amazon so I can send the unit back, since they were going to leave me to deal with e-waste. Don't waste your money, it's cheap garbage with a peeling sticker on it, and I have been scammed by a company I've been supporting for some years now. UPDATE 2: Processed a replacement through Amazon (only way to get rid of the broken one), and received it less than a month ago. The replacement worked just fine until today. Same issue. The drum no longer spins--I'm thinking it's the drum rollers that are the primary cause for this. There is no way to fix it yourself. It was designed to be disposable since there are no exposed screws to open the machine. I didn't even get my money's worth out of both machines. It'd be cheaper to go to the expensive laundromat. Original Review: The drum stopped rotating during the very first cycle. I had put in a lightweight hoodie and two pairs of pajama pants, which did not fill the machine up even halfway. It took an hour to get up to 140 degrees, and was running just fine. Suddenly, it switched from AI to deodorize, and the drum was no longer spinning (all settings but Shoes rotate the drum). I removed the clothes, which were still damp in some spots, and tried again with AI. The machine blew hot air, but the drum didn't rotate. I unplugged the machine, tried a different outlet--at least as a test, and a hard reset of the machine. I put one of the pairs of pants in on Warmer, which is not an AI setting and should automatically rotate the drum even if it's not moist enough to activate the machine. The drum heated up to 151 degrees, which is well beyond the 104 it states, and still did not rotate. I tried calling the customer support number in the booklet, at 11 AM on a weekday. It went to voicemail--and it was not a corporate voicemail. It was a default cell phone voicemail message. I feel like I've been scammed.

Perfect solution
I’ve been using a portable washing machine to avoid the communal washers in my building, and air drying on racks is always time-consuming and takes up too much room. This machine is small and extremely quiet, but powerful. Plugs into a regular outlet and doesn’t need a ventilation system. The loads are fairly small but it’s still much quicker to do multiple loads than wait for everything to air dry. It was amazing to have warm, soft bath towels today for the first time in ages. If you’re comparing this to a standard, full-size dryer, you may be disappointed, but this machine is a game-changer for those of us in small spaces without easy access to standard appliances.

Fairly quiet and not an eye sore
I was debating whether to get this portable dryer or the other rectangular ones. I ended up getting this one for two reasons: this one takes less wattage at 750 watts VS the rectangular ones which are rated at 850 watts and above, and also this dryer has the air filter built into the unit where you don't have to have the ugly eye sore of the exhaust pipe and external air filter attachment. The down side about the dryer is that it does take a long time to dry things even if it's a small load. You will spend at minimum 2 hours for one load. Thicker items may take the full 3.5hrs like jeans and blankets. On the plus side, it won't burn your clothes. It has a monotone sound while running but is overall fairly quiet. It's similar to having a fan on in the background. Capacity-wise, I have fit a twin sized comforter but it is not recommended if you don't want to risk wearing out the motor. I do it because I really hate going to my local laundromat and it fit inside the dryer. For safer sized loads, you can put a whole load from the small portable 0.9 cubic feet washers. I have one of those and put my washed loads from there straight into the dryer. For ease of use, I wish the buttons were on the face of the unit and not on top. As you can see from my pictures, I have this on top of a washer/dryer shelf which fits my 0.9 cubic feet washer below it. I use a small mirror to see which button I'm pressing. Opening and closing the door is easy. One thing to note is this dryer WILL release condensation steam while your clothes are in the really wet stage. Once the clothes start to dry more, the condensation will dry up. I put a rag underneath the back where the exhaust is to catch any condensated liquid. Also note that the plug for power is in the back of the unit. I bought a sideways adapter to make it easier to push the dryer back towards the wall. I also bought an extension cord because the power plug it comes with is really short. Please note that the instructions recommend against this due to wattage ratings, but I made sure both the adapter and the extension cord were rated to handle well over the 750 watt rating of this dryer. Also, make sure you plug the dryer into a power source that has a surge protector to prevent having to reset the fuse in your fuse box if you accidentally overpower the power outlet. I only have my electric toothbrush plugged in and it has a surge protector so it is safe. The instructions recommend against putting in dryer sheets due to it corroding the dryer and leaving behind a lot of residue over time, so I have not used any so far. I have noticed some items may develop static though so I might use just one or half of one as the instructions suggest if you absolutely have to use dryer sheets. Overall, I am very happy with this dryer. It feels like it is built with quality materials and it will last. I think it is worth what you pay for it and will likely save you money in the end if you usually go to the laundromat all the time. Support small businesses! This business makes quality products.

Great!
I recently bought the Beyond AI Portable Compact Lightweight Tumble Dryer, and I have to say as of now, I’m very happy with it! It’s super quiet while running, and though it does heat up the room a little (which was expected), it’s not a big deal. I’ve already done a few loads – gym clothes, work clothes, bath towels, and a blanket – and it handles them well. It’s small, so it’s great for one or two people. There are several settings to choose from, though I do wish it had an option to manually set the drying time. I also had a question about the pause function due to the child lock, and customer support was quick to assist, which was really helpful. Shipping was faster than expected! I placed the order on Dec 25th, and it arrived on Dec 31st, which was a pleasant surprise. I’m still figuring out the best place to store it. If I keep it outside of a cabinet, it’s so cute that I honestly wouldn’t mind having it out. Overall, it’s been a great addition, and I’m excited to see how it holds up over time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a compact, portable dryer!
