Ok so first to get it out of the way, this one section is long. I have purchased about 6-7 different battery packs. They all have 1 flaw I can't get past, and that is the way it fits on the controller. I'm nit picky and all of the other battery pack options I've had, I've had to use some sort of double sided tape or something to make the packs stay hugging the controller because they quite literally hang on for dear life by the usb c port. I don't want to be buying another controller because of a battery pack weighing down and straining the port. This one does not do that one bit. It hugs the controller and as seen in the crap and hastily taken photos, this is evident. The pack even has the prongs that go into the dualsense edge like the cord lock. That adds additional support and is a huge plus. This detail that I'm sure some won't care about is huge for me and is definitely worth the buy just for this. A nice touch in design, that I haven't seen on or with any other battery pack. Now, the battery life is good. It's on par with many others I've tried. I think they play it safe when they give you an estimate on 2X the capacity. It's a little more. And I say that with in mind all my controller settings are on max. I did adjust my light bar to medium. So little difference there but if you haven't done this yet, then you need to. If battery life is a concern for you. Trust me. I have played for 8+ hrs on dualsense heavy feautred games and never had an issue. The charge time. They say it could take as long as two hrs. So if it's completely dead, I use a USB C to USB C cable and it takes roughly an hr and half. I have the slim ps5 so that's why I do that. The form factor. It does not get in the way of the paddles at all. Plenty off clearance. Even for the stubbys that I use exclusively. Never an issue or bothered me once. I'm gonna be honest here. I didn't think I would care for the leds showcasing on the top. But it is very nice knowing when the battery was in use. I hope this helped someone save someone some time and money. This battery pack is perfect. Job will done. They do offer a regular dualsense pack as well. I can't speak on that one. But if it is made with the same quality as this one. I wouldn't hesitate.

I ordered a pair of these for my two Sony DualSense Edge controllers. First off, yes, they work as described. They charge quickly, fit the controllers perfectly, and provide about 2 to 3 hours of charge each. They even look pretty cool. But, there's a drawback...one that's been noted in other reviews: the wide form factor of these units somewhat impedes your fingers from using the trigger buttons. It's not major, but I found it noticeable. I don't even have particularly long fingers, but it still remains an issue, nonetheless. This is frustrating because Nacon makes a nearly identical version that is also rated for 1100mAh, but is considerably smaller in size. So, it really comes down to personal preference, I guess. I'm not sure why Nyko opted for such a large size when designing these, but it is what it is.

If you bought a dualsense edge for performance, and found out that you hated how short the battery life is, well, it's Aug 2024 and NO ONE except for one vendor on ali express makes an increased capacity INTERNAL battery for the dual sense edge. This Nyko external pack is the next best thing, and technically doubles the life in mAh of what the internal has. It still doesn't hold a candle to the internal battery upgrades that you can get literally everywhere for the regular dual sense, which I have gotten 4000mAh and 4800mAh internal batteries for the regular one. Which is more than double the regular battery, and no bulky unsightly pack. At this point, the dual sense edge has no one that creates hall effect add in thumbsticks for it, which guilikit said they would but cancelled the project. I can get hall effect sensors for a dual sense for $20, yes it requires soldering but, better no drift sensors... for half the price. plus all the other mods for the regular dual sense, I wish I never bought the edge. But hey, if you have one and want a battery pack, this works. if you haven't bought the edge yet, seriously consider modding a regular dual sense instead

Not bad. It doesn't actually use the pro controller latches to hold on but it accommodates them well. I had to return it because my ps5 controller fully broke right as it got here, but it worked well enough.

This battery pack is awesome get like 2and half hours after battery from controller dies.can charge it also while plugged in to controller .

It was bulky and made resting your fingers in the back buttons awkward. Battery life was fantastic though! I ended up returning it due to the uncomfortable nature of holding the controller. Definitely worth a shot for folks who don't have an issue with that.

Extends the awful/original battery by 100%. Perhaps 6-7h now. 1 star off as it flares out and bumps up against my sausage fingers when they're on the triggers. All good, apart from that.
