Best GameCube Switch controller
This is genuinely the best controller I have for the Nintendo Switch console. It works on both Original Switch and Switch 2. I have used this for nearly 6 years before it finally broke down and stopped working.. but that is just because I have used it so much. It’s normal for items like this to break over time and with this specific one you will get about 7 good years out of it so it’s worth it. This is genuinely a better GameCube controller than the official Nintendo Switch Online one.

Has all the right buttons!
The Nintendo switch online exclusive game controller for switch 2 , does not have all buttons. It is missing the negative or dash button so you can’t access it in games this controller does. The L R ZL ZR buttons are right size. It is the best GameCube controller You can get.

Perfect GameCube Style Controller for Smash Ultimate!
I recently broke my original GameCube controller, and I was on the hunt for a replacement. The PowerA GameCube Style Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch (Toad edition) has been an excellent choice, and I couldn’t be happier with it! 1. Great Design & Build Quality The GameCube style design is spot-on! It feels just like the original GameCube controller, but with the added benefit of being wireless. The buttons and analog sticks are responsive and comfortable, making it feel very familiar while playing games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Toad design adds a fun touch, too—it's colorful and stands out without being too over the top. 2. Smooth Wireless Performance One of my biggest concerns was the wireless connection, but this controller connects seamlessly to my Nintendo Switch. The Bluetooth connectivity is fast and reliable, and I haven’t experienced any lag or disconnections during intense matches. It works just as well as a wired controller, which is a huge plus for me. 3. Perfect for Smash Ultimate If you’re a fan of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, this controller is perfect. The layout is ideal for fast inputs and precise control, especially with the C-stick for Smash attacks. I’ve found it incredibly responsive, and it really enhances my gameplay compared to using the Joy-Con or Pro Controller. 4. Comfortable to Use for Long Sessions The controller is surprisingly comfortable, even for extended play sessions. The grip feels natural, and my hands don’t cramp up after playing for hours, which is a common issue I’ve had with other controllers. 5. Affordable Price This controller is a great alternative to more expensive official controllers, and it offers fantastic value for the price. It gives you all the functionality of a GameCube controller with the convenience of wireless use, and it’s a fraction of the price of some other options. Final Thoughts If you’re looking for a GameCube-style controller for your Nintendo Switch, especially for games like Smash Ultimate, the PowerA Wireless Controller is a perfect choice. It has a great design, excellent performance, and is comfortable to use. Highly recommend it! Pros: Classic GameCube design with wireless connectivity Great for Smash Ultimate and other games Comfortable and responsive controls Fun designs Affordable price Con: Lacks some advanced features like motion controls (but not a dealbreaker for most Smash players)

Good controller for game cube games.
My son is a huge Zelda fan, and we have Switch Online so he enjoys playing through the classic Zelda games. I purchased this controller to make it easier to play the GameCube titles. It was easy to connect to the Switch console. The battery lasts quite a while, and the buttons feel good and responsive to me. He tells me he likes the controller, and I enjoy using it as well.

Trash, do NOT buy
This controller is garbage. I have bought two so far, and I have to say - do NOT waste your money on this trash. What makes it trash? Quite simply - the buttons get stuck. Couple that with the controller reading the button presses incorrectly (was playing Smash and went to do a light attack, and it dodged instead... wtf), and this controller is truly, utter garbage. The first one did it within the first use of the controller. I was outside of my return window, so I got rid of the garbage. I decided to wait to buy it again to see if they manufactured it better, and this time, it worked for the first hour of use. It's not a good controller by any stretch of the imagination, but it worked, so I was happy. Second time I used it? Back to trash. Within 15 minutes of use, the buttons began to stick once again. Was getting incorrect button presses (see above), and could not low jump if my life depended on it, since the buttons press down too long no matter how lightly you tap it. Tried to open it to see what was inside, but they use the WORST Chineseium screws they could manufacture, and my low-torque screw driver (designed for this kind of work), STRIPPED the screws! I'm not even sure how they created screws that strip with such low power, but the manufacturer decided they wanted it to be garbage through and through, since, you know, useful stuff isn't good - have to make only trash. Tl/dr, don't waste your money on this controller. It may be the only manufacturer that makes a Gamecube style (wired) controller, but don't waste your time. This controller used to be good, but apparently quality products isn't what the manufacturer cares about anymore. Buy at your own risk....

I play smash regularly and i swear by these controlers. I find it to be good quality and like the extra added L button adds extra layer to my gaming. However a change has been made from the last batch... Instead of the ZL&ZR trigger buttons being spring loaders like the previous batch, they are now button orientated and the button its self only presses down halfway. Annoyingly now i cant get a short hop out of my jumps because of this change. Now i must alter my gameplay to adapt, not the worst thing in the world but more of an inconvenience. If you could change it back to the original model i would be chuffed and will happily rate you back to 5*. Other than that all is well with this product.

The analog triggers and buttons, the clicks quickness of the sticks and buttons. This is the perfect smash bros. controller made wireless with an extra trigger. My batteries haven’t been replaced and it’s been going for about two months
