Samsung Q930D Q-Symphony 9.1.4ch Cinematic Dolby Atmos Wi-Fi Soundbar with Subwoofer and Rear Speakers

I have a 5.1 setup I haven't put out in the new house. I wanted a cleaner simple plug and play soundbar for the new house. I had an old LG 2.1 I tried first but sounded flat due to the lack of new digital technology. I tried other soundbars with virtual upward firing speakers but they were a let down. The sub with this system is impressive, I have a keff sub that is loud but not as tight and accurate as this one. I've tweaked the settings and put almost all back to factory settings as it is perfectly balenced. The only thing I have left changed is the height speakers are on max, I feel this is the only weakness, it may be down to having very high cellings in my victorian property. For this kind of money you can't go wrong. Supporting almost every digital format and simplicity of setup through e arc to my Sony bravia. Be aware the rear speakers are rather big. Volume wise I have not taken it all the way up. 15-25 % normal listening 30% for films is easily enough!

Let me start with the flaws: - this set only has brackets to mount the main soundbar. It doesn't have any bracket to mount the rear speakers. Sure people would like to use their own initiative to hang them or put them somewhere but I would love to have some basic brackets for rear speakers. Weirdly enough you can't even get any brackets for rears directly from Samsung. - the digital display behind the mesh as much as it is nicely bright and visible from the distance it has a width that fits only a few letters. I understand that speakers are more important than a wider little screen but iny opinion it should be designed better. This few letter wide screen is good if the sound system was very basic and there wouldn't be many options. However, this Q930D has quite a few settings and options and even choosing the sound mode you have to wait untill it scrolls the name of the mode so you could find out what mode you want. You obviously need to read when it scrolls as sometimes you have option like ON or OFF so if you missed it then you have to get to that setting again. This takes unnecessarily a lot of time and the best is to remember what first few letters mean so you can speed up your settings/mode selection. Settings should be very intuitive and easy to navigate which this is not. I have a Samsung Neo QLED TV and I think this should be incorporated in the TVs menu as part of QSymphony mode. I won't get into details about Dolby Atmos or what you are getting in the box as this is clearly shown in photos and on many video reviews. The design is I think fairly simple without any design lines or shapes that would look strange or unusual. The only less usual shape is the shape of the rear speakers that are slightly curved on the sides. The rest of this set look simple but very good. I have 55" Samsung TV and it looks fantastic just below the TV. It doesn't stick out from the wall too much (I have used wall brackets included) and it is almost as wide as the TV. Subwoofer looks great and the rear speakers are fairly big but looks good. I like that when the sun or light is shining onto soundbar or rear speakers you can see through the mesh and see actual speakers. That looks very cool. Sound quality: I mean the sound is just amazing. I admit that this is the first that much expensive surround sound system - I had few surround system before this one but they were on the lower end of the budget so the upgrade here is just massive for me. However, every penny spent on this set is well worth it for the surround effect. The sound is perfectly clear and crisp just as it is in cinema. You can hear every single detail in the movie and the dialogues are crystal clear without the need for subtitles even at lower volumes. What surprised me is the volume. At maximum volume you get everything sound louder but it doesn't make you jump or regret turning the volume up. It is loud but feels good. You can turn it up a lot and still enjoy the movie very much. Personally, I go only up to 45 out of 100 of volume and for my small living room is well enough. Usually around 20 is fairly loud already and 25 and 35 is perfect for cinema like sound. Verdict: Completely well deserved 5 stars for sublime sound performance that gavr me chills everytime I hear flying past bullets or planes or anything from rear to front or from rear left to front right ect it makes me smile. It is truly amazing set that definitely is worth its price.

Needed a new soundbar to go with our samsung smart tv so purchased this after much looking around and investigating. So easy to set up, including the surround sound wifi speakers and such good quality. Also works with other devices over Bluetooth or WiFi

Setting up was really easy with a single supplied hdmi to the back of my tv. The rear surround sound speakers didn't link up initially, but with a quick look at the trouble shooting section of the manual that was sorted in seconds. Bass is spectacular, it's powerful punchy and precise. The sound quality is very good even at full whack. ( we had a little disco once I connected my phone via Bluetooth) The size of each speaker is a little larger than expected but to me that isnt a problem. The sound scape on surround is very good. Our tv is in a corner and the adaptive sound compensates for that very well. I'm still learning the finer details of controlling the unit but the basics are very intuitive.

Wow, this has totally blown me away. Connected to my Samsung TV. Now I know what surround sound is like. Looks good, easy to set up once you've downloaded the app.

I bought this soundbar in Sep 24 but have only recently installed the soundbar and surround speakers and subwoffer. I have to say the sound quality is absolutely amazing and I'm really happy with my purchase. Using the remote to setup the speaker is very fiddly. If you install Samsung Smarthings App you will find it very easy to adjust and control you soundbar setup. I'm especially enjoying the immersive surround sound of films.
