Werner Beef Jerky Slab 10 Count – Giant Jerky Slab, Jerky Sheets Thinly Sliced Beef Jerky Bulk Pack (Hot & Spicy)

Qualities I like in beef jerky: thin slice, spicy, dehydrated but chewy (not too much moisture), not too sweet. The Werner beef jerky "slab" meets all of my requirements for the perfect jerky! I love this beef jerky so much I refuse to buy anything else!

I buy this on subscription because I love it so much. I store in the freezer and makes a great, high protein snack.

I'm giving this three stars instead of two, because shame on me for not reading the ingredients. I like real beef jerky. The old school way of making it. Dry, tough, not sweet. This doesn't check any of those boxes. Now, fault where it belongs, I should have read the ingredients before purchasing. Had I, I would have seen that sugar is the second ingredient, and that would have told me everything. I would not have purchased it. I was going based on Amazon recommendation within the criteria I was searching for. And shame on Amazon for suggesting it. But since I did purchase it though, here's the review. This is one step above (or below, depending on your criteria) Jack links. It's way too sweet, and the moisture context is very high. There was visible moisture in the package. I know this is a style that some people think is good. But if you prefer jerky the way it's supposed to made, and not over processed, candy flavored slabs of glued together meat scraps, I would say you are better off skipping this one. This is candy. Not jerky. I won't be back.

It's really good. Very thin and a good spice.

I was expecting pepper flavored beef jerky as the label said but was unfortunately disappointed by the strong sweet teriyaki flavor. Would not recommend.

For the price point and the size of the product, I think it's a good value. The flavor is pleasant, but I would not rate it as one of the best. I may purchase it again.

Holy toledo. I hoped these would be completely hard, but I'd call them old-style tough, but not 'got to soak them in saliva to rip off a piece' hard. I really ended up liking these, proven by the fact half the pack is gone already. Each piece is about 9" by 4" or so - they are quite large. And they are pleasantly hot and peppery. I think they're a good value.
