Excellent pocket book for students. Light weight but packed full of information in an easy to read format. Star buy!

Excelent book.

This book is a great buy for medical students. It is comprehensive but at the same time extremely well laid out and concise. Each disease is limited to a page at max, and is broken down by epidemiology, aetiology, pathogensis, biochemistry, histology and prognosis / treatment. It helped me get A's on all my pathology and haematology modules. There are some omissions however, with the section on systemic diseases being a little light, and notably the exclusion of a section on otorhinolaryngological diseases. Diseases of the oral cavity and salivary glands where included in the section on Gastrointestinal pathology, however pharyngeal and laryngeal pathology were not included. More detail on autoantibodies and also biochemical markers could have been include as well, for example expected biomarkers in chronic hepatitis. No book is perfect, but this one comes very close. Thank you Dr Carton for the time and effort you have put into publishing this book, and I hope you manage to publish a new edition, which includes some of these updates!

I bought this book to prepare for exams, and I have no regrets. Very correct and short answers for all questions you can receive. Not proper for zero study.
