#1. DO NOT become discouraged over the 1 star reviews. I did too and almost returned it. #2. This thing is awesome once it's up and running. #3. It IS NOT a plug and play as advertised in part of the description. #4. If possible, download the Cyberlink.com "PowerDVD" software. It's what I decided on because of great reviews all over the internet. #5. Great News! "PowerDVD" has a free trial that has no expiration date. It will play DVD & Blu-ray & burn both. You DO NOT have to buy PowerDVD If you only want to play or burn. #6. Bad news... The player will not play any format without the PowerDVD software. Not even a standard DVD. #7. I'm glad I didn't send it back to Amazon. I think the problem with other buyers is they think it's a plug n play & when it doesn't play they assume it's junk & send it back.

Plug and play so far have not had a chance to watch a Blu ray however the device comes up as a Bluray on windows

I found a free software to copy and burn ISO called Ashampoo Burning Studio. Works great on this player. I had to hook in the usb3 small end into the pc and us the other cable that cam with it plugged into a usb2 slot.. This setup allowed me to burn 2 windows 11 iso to the dvd so I van have a way to repair windows if needed. Instructions are to focused on blue-ray not much help with setup.

This is a piece of crap! The unit keeps stalling the DVD's while they're playing! Each time you try to reverse to a scene or fast forward, or even to stop & access the Menu in the middle, it takes an ETERNITY to engage while you end up with the blasted "pinwheel from hell" on your laptop because the unit is not responding to the command! Or sometimes it literally just shuts off & disconnects from your DVD app. while watching something. Smh. The USB is flimsy & poorly made. (Cheap) Ready to come apart from the plug housing. And absolutely NO easy eject control on the unit itself!! GRRR! I am sooo sorry that I bought this nonsense! Unfortunately now its way too over the time limit for me to be able to return it, and I am pissed! I WOULD NOT WASTE MY MONEY, albeit it just 20 bucks, buying this piece of junk if I were you!

Read Blu-Ray discs fine but would either not read normal DVDs or read them as incredibly glitched out. Fine if your DVDs are only Blu-Ray.

I use this drive to read/write to blu-ray, DVD, and CD discs. Simple as that. Just as good as the old school mounted drives but portable. Also, the built-in USB hub helps with other media as well.

Had it for a little over a year. Works sometimes, sometimes not. Super frustrating, for the price it should works always, but another pos no name Chinese product. Recommend buying a known trusted brand. Light on top is always on, no way to turn it off, annoying. Would not purchase again or probably any other brand like it. Spend the extra $ on a quality product if budget allows for it. I would have returned it a long time ago but missed return window.

Tiene para conexión USB o USB-C por si tienes pocos puertos. Super compacto y ligero. De material robusto

I had trouble getting it to work cuz it kept getting disconnected, but it was because that usb port didn't provide enough power to it, it worked with n issues in another one. Using "DVD and Blu-Ray PLUS" Windows app to play the blu rays.
