Lovely
Not one of the best flavors out there. I'm not used to charcoal. The flavor and texture is a bit off for me, makes me gag every-time but it is One of my favorite toothpastes after transition from sensodyne & proenamel. I never thought I would be able to go to a different toothpaste with my teeth being insanely sensitive. After doing some research and a family never recommend the brand boka I decided to give it a try. Let me tell you that my teeth have never felt better with the sensitivity and cleanness. It freshened your breather well and all the ingredients are so clean and good. I love that I can even give it to my toddler and not worry about her swallowing to much. Give this toothpaste a go!!!! The flavors are amazing. We have definitely tried almost all, we do end up going back to this one and the whitening one.

Love it !
I ordered Boka Fluoride-Free Toothpaste because I wanted a natural alternative without fluoride. It has a pleasant, mild mint flavor that isn’t overpowering, though I have to say it has a slight taste that reminds me of a banana peel kind of unique but not unpleasant. The toothpaste has a smooth texture and cleans well without being harsh or drying. After using it for a few weeks, I’ve noticed my teeth feel fresh and my gums aren’t irritated at all. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a fluoride-free toothpaste that still gives you a clean, fresh mouth. I’m happy with this product and plan to keep using it.

Cleans teeth well
Helps whiten teeth and fight stains, but make sure to rinse using something with fluoride.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Been Using This for Years – Still a Favorite
I’ve been using this toothpaste on and off for a couple of years now, and I keep coming back to it—especially when I want something gentle but effective. The Boka Charcoal Yuzu Mint flavor is refreshing without being overpowering, and the texture is smooth—not gritty like some charcoal toothpastes can be. I love that it’s fluoride-free but still supports enamel with nano-hydroxyapatite. My teeth always feel super clean after brushing, and I’ve noticed it helps with sensitivity when I use it consistently. It doesn't foam a lot, which took a little getting used to at first, but now I actually prefer that over the harsh, bubbly commercial stuff. Plus, the clean ingredients give me peace of mind, especially since I try to avoid unnecessary chemicals. If you’re looking for a more natural option that still delivers results, I definitely recommend giving this one a try. Even after trying other brands, I always end up restocking this one.

Price and taste
The quality and the ingredients are obviously great, but the taste is not too pleasant including how much you have to pay for it

Loving it (1 week in)
So far this is my favorite toothpaste, near zero flavor, no after residue, just CLEAN teeth.

Charcoal not for me
Ingredients are pretty good, but I think I prefer the old whining one instead of the charcoal one leaves a bad taste and it does a whitening a little bit

LOVE this toothpaste. Been using it for over 2 years now. My teeth and gums are so much healthier. My teeth have whitened significantly with no pain (I find whitening toothpastes often create sensitivity and pain).

Cinnamon is just awesome. Charcoal taste is ok but on the dry side. Not enough foam when brushing. That is why I took one star.

Regular toothpaste was causing sensitivity so I thought I’d give this a try. Sensitivity gone within 3 days. My teeth feel just as clean and I think whiteness is improving. Brush as usual but don’t rinse afterwards for at least 5 minutes.

TL;DR: I tried Boka for one night due to enamel erosion, refunded it because of a lack of clean mouthfeel and their refusal to disclose their nano-hydroxyapatite %, and will instead use PreviDent 5000 as my main toothpaste. Seen a drastic improvement in sensitivity dabbing Boka paste nightly to the affected erosion area. I used this for one night only and refunded it the next day. For the record, the enamel on the upper left side of my mouth is more or less almost completely eroded. My dentist confirmed this and mentioned I may need a dentin sealing. Any chocolate liquor (think Lindor, turtles) that hits that side of my mouth sends me into unbearable pain. I feel air passing on cold days, and even at a pause, I feel that part of my mouth is sticking out like a sore thumb. So I've resorted to chewing completely with the right side of my mouth and avoiding sweets entirely. I bought this toothpaste with some skepticism because they don't advertise their Nano Hydroxyapatite %, but I also bought it with some hope because they are also one of the few brands on here that have NANO Hydroxyapatite and not just Hydroxyapatite. If you want enamel sealing and repair, you need Nano Hydroxyapatite to penetrate the enamel and seal it. Here are the negatives with this product that I found. Complete lack of a clean mouthfeel: This lacks any sort of the 'whole clean mouth feel' that you get with regular toothpaste. It doesn't eliminate morning breath unless you use it in conjunction with mouthwash. It's a very tough transition if you're used to regular toothpaste. Gross/lack of texture: When you're brushing, it's that feeling you get whenever you don't use enough toothpaste and are basically just brushing your teeth with the brush. It's a gross feeling. Flavours: The charcoal and yuzu flavours are present but very muted. Nano Hydroxyapatite % marketing: This is probably my biggest gripe with this product/brand. They absolutely refuse to share the % of Nano Hydroxyapatite they use in this toothpaste. It's completely bizarre. Their customer service claims it's proprietary, which is why they can't share it. Instead, they shared some other strengths of the product with me. If you pay attention to their marketing, they talk about the sun and the moon, but not the % of Nano-Hydroxyapatite in the toothpaste. Why this is important is that for Nano Hydroxyapatite to be effective in a toothpaste, it has be at a minimum 10% concentration. That's what the research shows. If I'm paying $20 (1.5x the cost of a regular toothpaste) for what is essentially toothpaste, I'd like to know if it's effective or not. Marketing/business 101 states that you focus on your product's strengths instead of its shortcomings. So this leads me to believe that because Boka refuses to outright share any details about their Nano Hydroxyapatite % in their toothpastes, the concentration has to surely be well under the 10% minimum effective concentration required. I would even hazard a guess that their concentration is well below 5% (maybe around 2-3%) because even at 5%, that's a passable amount that can be shared in their marketing. The fact that they don't share the % and instead focus on other strengths confirms my theory. If you could market it, you would share it as a selling point. Here are the positives with this product that I found. Their customer service got back to me the same day, promptly. They provided additional details in my request by shifting the focus away from the Nano Hydroxyapatite % and instead showcasing the strengths of the product. That was appreciated. I've dabbed the toothpaste directly to my eroded enamel, and it already seems to have provided a seal. Given that it's early, I'm not entirely sure if it's actually worked or if it's just a placebo effect from reading the marketing and positive reviews. I still plan on using this toothpaste, but only to dab small amounts directly to my enamel. I will be purchasing Colgate PreviDent 5000 ppm Booster Plus to use as my main toothpaste, and Boka as my dab directly toothpaste. Time will tell if either of these toothpastes will work.
