We bought a this to replace an outdoor water faucet at our new house. The previous owners had the water line shut off because there was a slight leak with the original faucet. We were unsure how switching this out would go since the setup was a little different than normal with the faucet attached to the side of the house. They had a pex line from the house under the deck with the faucet attached to the side of one of the bottom deck boards. The install was so easy. I thought this product had to be too good to be true but it proved me wrong! It took my boyfriend about 10 minutes to cut off the old faucet (wouldn’t disconnect), measure the Pex tube with the shark bite tool and install and secure the faucet in place. It works beautifully and there are no more leaks. This product far exceeded my expectations. It’s so nice to have finally access to water in the back yard! I attached before and after pics. Love Shark Bite. In my opinion Shark Bites allow a homeowner the ability to tackle certain jobs that they may have paid for in the past because they didn't want to deal with brazing or soldering pipes together. This particular item is great. I cut out the section of copper running to this spigot which exits my crawl space into my garage. Ran Pex tubing and tied everything in. Other than being in my crawl space, it was an easy job. This spigot is smooth to open and close. This is not an antisiphon or a frost-free spigot, so be mindful of your application. If you are in a cold climate and this is on the outside of your home, there is no protection. Mine is in my garage and safe from the climates. This fit 1/2-inch Pex tubing perfectly and secured to the wall with no issues. Yes, you pay a few extra dollars for this type, but I feel it is money well spent when you consider the trade off with the ease of installation.

BEST GARDEN VALVE I EVER USED. NO SOLDERING. DOESN'T HAVE TO BE GLUED. MADE A MISTAKE AND CUT THE PIPE OR TUBING, NO PROBLEM, IT'S EASY TO REMOVE AND REUSE.

This is great if you are installing without having to ever remove it. In my case I needed to fit it first and remove it for the finish. Was not able to remove because of the design. I had to cut my siding to fit around it.

For a quick or temporary summer water feed and spigot this did the trick. We are in New England and rather than running a lot of hoses to water I added pex and a couple of lines I can blow out for the winter and connect in the spring and summer.

A very good product. Installation was easy. No drilling or soldering required. Took about 3-4 minutes to install. Looks good in my backyard. using it for garden hose. It's been a year i installed it & it's still going good. No leakage, No complaints.

The old tap was leaking and the handle was stripped so it was time to replace. This seemed like an easy solution and it really was. The hardest part was figuring out how much pipe to leave after cutting to have it sit flush on the siding. Since there were no instructions I used an old piece of pipe laying around and pushed the fitting on so I could mark the pipe to get measurement. Then it was a simple as measuring and cutting the pipe, give it a quick sand to smooth the edges, and press the fitting on. Then a couple screws into the base to keep it from spinning and the job was done. I have no plumbing experience and this job took about 15 minutes total. There are no leaks and it looks much nicer than the old tap as well.
