WILL GIVE YOU A FAULT CODE, NOT FOR AMERICAN VERSION VW
Be careful with this part which is not compatible with VW Golf GTI American version, when scanned using VDCS software it returns, and error code as follows: 1 Fault Found: 00928 - Locking Module for Central Locking; Front Driver Side (F220) 54-00 - Incorrectly Equipped also, this error code is messing up with my middle upper brake light keeping it on after car is locked, so I am having to disconnect battery all the time to reset code. AVOID SELLER AND PART

Replacement latch requires you to double pull your interior door handle when the vehicle is locked.
The latch works just fine, other than the fact you have to pull it once to unlock the car, and then once again to open the door when the doors are locked. If you unlock the door with the button, the handle only needs to be pulled once. After checking all the adjustments, I came to find that this was how the latch was designed.

Negative stars
Worked ok for about a week. Then stopped working and just doesn’t work anymore. And of course I'm passed the return window. Save yourself the headache and buy a quality oem one and do it once.
