The Real Deal 5/5
bought is companies stuff as it is designed for high end consumers. not us regular , rather the breaking bad type of high end consumers. hope you understand the analogy. so what is great. its quiet and high quality it will continue working without supervision especially if you are locked in or doing time. it will continue to work flawlessly behind your back and you don't have to worry about it. its silent and yes there is going to be some wind noise however there isn't going to be any whining noise. I use it to cool tp link deco be85 mesh wifi. the be 85 has inbuilt fans.however those fans were no good . I has to install this unit beneath each of those satellites . now never have had any reason to restart the mesh network. the medium speed is good in summer and I guess I can switch to low speed in winter to keep everything going. I the went ahead and bought the 2 fan version from same company to place under my virgin media hub 5 or 6 and the other end behind my tv ports unit. have had them for a months and I can say this unit is good quality. the power is supplied by usb a type plug which is connected to some usb a outlet on the powerstrips I have near appliances. the airflow is restricted unless you place something under the fan to raise it above around 1 inch above its plastic pucks to achieve silence and better airflow. it can not work with the plastic pucks alone. they will not let enough air flow beneath the fan to throw upwards. it needs clearance on at least the input side of 1 to 2 inches to achieve good blowing power. the 140mm size is good for be85 as it blows inside and around the body of the unit and man oh man is the tp link deco be85 big. so you can get an idea. it is as large as a 70kg persons thigh . so you get an idea that 140mm is a bit larger then a persons thigh . power consumption is ok however I didn't test it. seems the 2 fan 120 mm works as good as the 140mm single fan version. I would have preferred the 140mm version as it was single unit in comparison to the dual 120mm versions which I now have to place 1 below and 1 on top of the other be85 deco unit. definitely buy other stuff from this company . if you need an exhaust fan this is the company. if you need electronic cooling fan this is that company. they have a huge variety of stuff that carters to that class of people who we all hate however they are the ones making all the money after other bad businesses in the world. the 4 or 6 greatest money makers businesses right now running the world . and yes it definitely isn't owing a pizza chain or a restaurant or clothing store.

Well built and very quiet
Note: Product purchased directly from seller AC Affinity and fulfilled by Amazon. I use this to improve the air circulation on my Xbox One, which is housed in a narrow TV cabinet. Even though the cabinet is not fully closed, the external of the Xbox can get very hot, especially during a long session. I placed this fan directly on over the Xbox's top vents, blowing away from the xbox. The build quality is solid. You can shake it about, try to bend or squeeze it, there is no rattling or even creaking noise. Around the frame, all surfaces that you can touch, it is all smooth, no hint of any sharp edges. When the fan is running it is very quiet. There is a mechanical switch built into the USB cable. This switch has 4 positions; OFF, speed 1, 2 and 3. At speed 1, you wont even know it is running. Speed 2, in a room without any other sound you can almost hear it, but it is still quieter than my external Western Digital hard drive. Speed 3, well, you can definitely hear it. Not that the motor is noisy, just the wind noise it generated, and if you have the TV speaker on, it will drown out the noise from the fan. The OFF position is very useful, because I connected to the XBox usb port, and the port is always powered, even when Xbox is in standby/sleep mode. With the OFF position I can switch off the fan when I not using the Xbox. This is so effective, speed 1 is enough to keep the Xbox cool. The fan comes with 4 rubber feet attached, it does a very good job of keeping the fan on top of the xbox. At £15, this us not the cheapest 120mm fan on Amazon, but I am convinced this is worth its price tag. It is certainly has done what I needed it to do and quality is great. Only question is, how long will it last, time will tell. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone looking to improve air circulation for AV devices.

Great extra fan
I love it. It just does what I needed, it's quiet, after years still running strong, totally reliable and dependable. The speed range is great - at the slowest it's absolutely quiet yet still providing significant air flow, at the highest it's obviously no more silent but the airflow is marginally more intensive. I needed it for badly designed laptop with only passively cooled CPU in the back of the display side and I just glued velcro on the fan and the back of the laptop and would stick it on the back whilst working, did the job and made that crappy laptop usable eliminating constant down throttling.

Well made fan, very quiet
I needed this to cool a cabinet which it does very well.. it's not totally silent - it's definitely audible even on low and I would have preferred a more linear control that let me go a bit slower. It's not unpleasant.. it's well designed.. just a minor niggle. It comes with 8 rubber feet that I couldn't see the use of (they're no use when the fan is attached to anything.. the screws aren't long enough to leave them on).

Perfect for old amps
Perfect for my old technics A900 amp, keeping it cool, with no issues of overheating/protection mode kicking in. Works just aswell as their S10. Perfect for most Amps,

Compact, quiet and low wattage, assist cooling of Ecoflow solar generator
I am using these little 80mm fans pointing towards the vent on my solar generator. The fresh air helps with the cooling of my Ecoflow along with its built-in temperature-controlled internal fans. The two in this set use about 2 or 3 watts all together when on middle setting plugged into the usb port on my Ecoflow. Low setting doesn't use hardly any wattage but in my opinion isn't powerful enough for my needs. As for noise, they have bumpers on the corners to lower vibrations, and fans rotate super smoothly with no jerking. On the lower setting I can barely hear them. On the high setting only a quiet hum which I personally don't find intrusive...my other half who's super sensitive wasn't keen on top setting - however as everything will be ultimately mounted out of the way won't be a problem. If you watch my video you can hear the click when I change settings up and then down, suggest you turn up your speakers if you want an idea of the sound these make while running :) There's a toggle switch for Off, Low, Medium & High settings, with the cable long enough that I can put the fans behind my unit and have the switch around front for accessibility which is handy. On medium setting my Ecoflow isn't running its internal fans so often which is great as I know there's not too much build up of heat, better for longevity. They also run quieter than the internal one. As these are small in size they are not super powerful but used only a few inches away from the vents in my Ecoflow they are perfect for my needs. Hope this review helps those of you thinking about purchasing!

really nice quality, ideal for Biltong drying box!
These fans come really nicely packaged, good instruction booklet, and feel very professional. The grills look great and have a nice professional logo on. The variable speed is great - on the low setting they are silent, and barely audible on medium. on Hi you can here a feint whir if you are near, but if they are in a AV cupboard you won't notice. They shift a fair bit of air given the low USB power. I wanted a couple of fans to use on a Biltong drying box I was making. these fitted the bill perfectly. Powered by a USB wall wart I had lying around, one fan blowing in, one fan extracting, with variable flow. I removed the grills and rubber feet which are easy to do, and had to fit a different air filter, which is a shame given the nice appearance of the fans! They fill my purpose spot on, and I would highly recommend them as they are good value and nicely made/packaged.

Handy portable cooler
Super little gadget that I`m surprised hadn`t been made available a LONG time ago. I got this size for a specific cooling purpose, as it turns out it wasn`t needed but kept the fan anyway as it can be usd anywhere and for any reason. So useful - just plug it into any USB port or adapter and place wherever you need it. The rubber "all round" feet prevent vibration and movement, it can be used in any orientation and has 3 speeds + OFF altogether. Permanent or temporary placement - if you need something cooling, this is a very useful item to have. It`s reasonably quiet as well even on full - on low almost silent - at which I was a little surprised especially for the smaller 8cm size which can be a bit noisy. Cool a TV box, or portable hard drive, inside a PC for extra spot cooling, circulate the air in a cabinet.... you could even cool a hot pie off straight out of the oven if you wanted ! :)
