A Simple Test To Do - Recommended
My GetTested at Home Thyroid TSH Test arrived in a nice presentation box. This is a Home Test for Thyroid TSH: - TSH = Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone The instructions are very simple and are shown in picture format on the box and you also have a full instruction leaflet inside the box. I found it very easy to do and have a good result. I think the price of £19.00 at the time of reviewing is a little high but that is my preference. Home testing kits are great but please remember to always seek medical assistance if you are feeling unwell. Highly Recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Easy to use
Pretty nice and it's easy to use and it looks pretty good and it's rather easy to use. Overall this is pretty good and easy to use. I can't really comment on the accuracy tho.

Simple, instant indicator assuming it's accurate.
This is a home test to check thyroid function by checking the level of TSH, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, in the blood, it works by setting a cut off of 5 uIU TSH /ml of blood. The test cassette detects the TSH in the sample. The blood is put into the test cassette and reacts with anti-TSH antibody coated particles which are in the test, the sample travels up the membrane of the cassette until it reaches the "T" line, if a line appears at the "T" line the volume of TSH is in excess of 5uIU/ml to trigger the coloured line and a visit to a Dr is advised, if the volume is less than 5uIU/ml the reaction with the anti-TSH antibodies will not trigger a coloured line and is considered normal. In the box you get the following: (see photograph) Instructions; Test cassette to put the blood sample in and read the result; Two needles (one spare); A bottle of buffer solution; a capillary dropper to draw the blood; and an alcohol wipe to clean the finger before drawing blood. The instructions explain how the test works and how to perform the test. It's fairly simple: 1. Open the cassette and lay out ready to put the blood in. Be aware before opening the cassette that the capillary dropper (see separate photo of this) is also inside the wrapper, I was unaware so the dropper fell on the floor which could have contaminated the test; 2.Take the top off one of the needles; 3. Clean injection site with the alcohol wipe; 4. Use the automatic needle to prick the finger; 5. Place the capillary dropper into the blood, squeeze the finger until enough blood has been collected in the dropper; 6. Squeeze the blood from the dropper into the test cassette; 7. Add buffer solution; and finally 8. Wait ten minutes. I've posted a photo of my test result which shows the TSH level is not over 5uIU/ml so my reading is not considered abnormal which is as I expected. At the time of testing the price was £19, probably more than the cost of travelling to the GP but assuming it works it gives instant peace of mind to rule out a potential cause of tiredness without waiting and advocating for a blood test.
