Good faucet
Good faucet. Install was simple, though I would recommend watching the YouTube install video as the written instructions leave some steps out. Overall good build quality though the temperature control valve feels a little cheap and plastic-y compared to the build quality of the rest of the trim. Not a deal breaker certainly

A nice upgrade
This shower kit replaced an older Delta Monitor (pre 2005) model 1700. I had to modify the existing valve with a 3 point file to allow the redesigned parts to fit. The old model had one square notch and this new one has two triangle notches (one each side) so I lined everything up and filed a notch into the existing brass valve to fit. Worked perfectly and I did not have to tear the wall apart to replace my old valve. It’s the same (almost) cartridge. This new one comes with an adapter to fit Deltas new valves. I just didn’t use the adapter and it was a perfect fit.

Confusing instructions
The product is nice in quality but the instructions are a complete disaster. There are several different models in the instructions with some very poor diagrams which make the installation far more confusing and frustrating than it should be. Because of this, it took 2 hours to complete the install. The instructions also leave out some major details and one very big safety step which does not cover reinstalling one of the internal rings which keeps it from blowing the handle off the wall when the water is turned back on.

I like that the temperature setting stays where you left it when you turn the water off and on. And it only takes one quarter (90 degrees) of a rotation to turn the water off and on. Simple, functional, and looks good.

Works fine. Don’t forget the rough in kit with integral stops. This is trim kit only.
