This hydrometer came with a flimsy cheap plastic test cup that warps during a hot test. That makes it basically useless for the exact purpose it’s supposed to serve. If you’re selling a syrup hydrometer intended for finishing hot maple syrup, the included cup needs to actually withstand heat. Sending plastic that deforms under normal use is ridiculous and feels cheap and careless. Now I’m left questioning the accuracy and usefulness of the whole kit.

Work as it should. Uses for the hole sapping season. Unfortunately I broke it but ordered a replacement for this years season

Bought this as a replace to a broken hydrometer. Barely fits in the syrup holder at my sugar concentration. I need to buy another replacement.

The package arrived in great time and the equipment is well packaged. When opened, the hydrometer was pulled out of its tube and glass fell all over. The hydrometer was broken prior to packaging. Overall, the glass used is very thin and fragile.
