Coffee grind gets stuck
Coffee grind gets stuck at bottom of machine and clogs often. I wouldn’t buy this product if I went back in time.

Retains a lot of grind/beans
I have an Ode II, that’s a fantastic grinder, this…isn’t. After a few days of it producing oddly inconsistent grounds with single dosing, I eventually just flipped the thing over and a whole heap of coffee including full unground beans came out. It takes over 90 seconds to grind 18g at setting 4, which should be medium fine… it mostly is. Maybe it just needs a burr alignment? But I wouldn’t have expected that from brand new. On the plus side it’s quiet, you can use the hopper cover kind of like an air pump/bellows to “clean out” the static clung grounds, and it looks nice. Will be replacing with something else.

We've bought several coffee grinders over the years. All of them sent coffee grounds flying all around the kitchen, it seemed. A constant frustration and mess. I stopped using all of them for this reason alone. For a while we used ground coffee, but I really like beans instead. So I started searching again. I was considering the Baratza Encore grinder, but a few reviewers said it made a mess. Then I stumbled onto Fellow Opus. Wow. This is the grinder I've been longing for! Definitely one of the best things I've ever bought from Amazon. The capacity is enough for 12 cups of coffee, and it seems very durable. Aside from the fact that the grinder itself works extremely well and looks beautiful, it has lots of great features: 1. I like the weight of it, for one thing. Our last grinder was super light, so when I saw that the Opus weighed just under 4 lbs, I was afraid it wouldn't be heavy enough. But it really is! It feels nice and heavy and solid. It stays right in place when grinding. 2. Easily Adjustable Wide Range Settings. From fine espresso grind to pour over and all the way up. All you do is move the little sliding lever or whatever it is, at the top, to your desired setting. Settings are printed on the underside of the lid, also. 3. Lid doubles as a dosing cup. I've used this only once, but definitely will again. It's a handy and thoughtful design. 4. Magnetic Catch Cup. I love this little cup! It has a removable ring or lid with hole in it; I guess it helps keep the coffee grounds from flying around. When you put the cup back in place, the magnet sort of grabs it and puts it in place. 5. I mentioned this earlier, but the grinder itself works like a dream. It has a little button you push to start it. One quick push for 30 seconds, 2 quick pushes for 60 seconds, and so on. Easy peasy. And the noise level is totally acceptable; it runs a lot quieter than our last grinder, or any grinder we've had, really. 6. Absolutely NO COFFEE GROUNDS have flown around or ended up on the counter. Like, none at all. And zero static! I am ecstatic about this grinder. It works flawlessly and I just couldn't be more satisfied with it. I do definitely recommend this awesome product!!

I’ve been using this grinder every morning and honestly, I love it. It looks super sleek on my counter and doesn’t take up a lot of space. The grind settings are really easy to adjust, and it works well whether I’m making espresso or French press. The grind is consistent, it’s not super loud, and it feels really solid and well-made. Cleaning it isn’t a hassle either, which I appreciate before coffee kicks in. 😅 If you’re into coffee and want something that looks good and performs well, this is a great pick.

nice look and design, but limited functionality. - the machine retains a lot of coffee. need to shake it after each use, otherwise blocked completely after a few weeks. - button function "short press for 30 seconds, 2x short press for 60 seconds... etc) does not work. pressing results in random grinding time of 30s, 60s, or non stop. Useless! - adjustment of grinding coarseness is not ok for espresso. it covers all graduations from fine to very coarse, but the steps are too far apart. we have the very expensive filter coffee grinder and were looking for an espresso "specialist". now we have a super expensive filter coffe grinder and this comparably cheap gringer which also covers mostly filter grade grining, and espresso only very compromised. - for the costs of both machines we should have bought a really professional grinder, and not two chique useless decoration items. very dissatisfied.

Love the looks and the quality grinding it offers. The only negative thing is the time it needs to grind the x amount of beans. I tried from dark to light roast beans without any problems until now.
