Wasted my money
I like colibrí but this is junk I threw away packaging first day with full confidence but lasted two weeks. Maybe it was just mine but now out 60 bucks and it’s in the trash. The flame was finicky but eventually just wouldn’t stay on

Perfect torch for a torch snob (like me)!
I'm a big cigar guy and have worked my way through dozens of torches. I just received this lighter and it has quickly become one of my very favorites in my arsenal. Here's what I like about it: it's relatively small, a bit bigger than a Zippo, and it sits comfortably in your pocket, at the same time it feels substantial - rugged and very solid. Lighting is an easy, very natural one-handed operation, a single motion that includes folding the cap back if it is closed at the time. Further, the cap folds ALL the way back and away from the top of the lighter, so it doesn't interfere at all with the cigar you are trying to light (a big pet peeve of mine). The fluid indicator is the easiest to read... by far... of any lighter I've owned. How they get the fuel to look blue is a mystery, but it's very effective (and pretty cool). In addition, the flame adjustment wheel is the easiest to use... by far... of any lighter I've owned. And with it's 2-year warranty, I look forward to this lighter being the one I grab first for many years to come.

Quality Issues
I love Colibri cigar cutters. The Apex torch lighter is beautifully designed but I had to return one due to being defective. It would not light consistently, nor would it stay lit no matter what I did (i.e. adjusting the flame, etc). I had the first one replace and the replacement lighter seemed to have the same problem, but it worked itself out and is now a reliable lighter. My experience with the last 3 Colibri torch lighters I have purchased tells me there are definite quality control problems with Colibri torch lighters. YMMV

Really solid little lighter - highly recommend
I fancy myself a pretty big cigar smoker. I have had torch lighters in the past and some of them either didn’t work well in bad weather situations or you literally felt like you were burning your eyebrows off when you lit your stick. This thing is great! Super consistent flame that is just the right size. It was really easy to toast the stoge without burning the sides. It is also clearly built to last. Very sturdy.

Inconsistent
Colibri are supposed to be "flame every time" I thought. Not on this model. I initially filled it (with the expensive Colibri Butane, mind you) and let it warm up in my hand for a few minutes before even trying to light. I was going to baby this thing so the cold butane didn't cause any future issue. Didn't light. Adjusted flame up. Didn't light. Adjusted flame low. Didn't light. Double checked that it was full...bled the O2 out...filled again despite appearing full...warmed it up for a few minutes...Yeah. It doesn't light at all or stay lit if you adjust the flame while lit...unless it's within a millimeter of the middle of the adjustment. 49% adjustment...lights. 51% adjustment...lights. Outside of that...doesn't do anything.I don't really see much reason to adjust it lower. But I'd like a hotter flame in general. The current output is similar to a $4 gas station butane lighter...although the build construction feels fantastic and I like the feel in hand a lot...but that doesn't mean anything if it doesn't perform.**IF** it were a perfectly working lighter (maybe yours is) I'd have one more nitpick. The lid and switch are parallel. Meaning if you close it in your fist and go to light it...your pointer finger will block the lid from opening. You have to consciously place your hand to not be at the lid line or your fingers will block it from opening. This would be a 5 star review with that addendum if the ****ing thing actually worked. As it stands...I can only say I like the "build quality" in that how it feels. The lighter sucks otherwise.
