Trails of Crater Lake National Park & Oregon Caves National Monument

This book is a gem! Although dated, it holds up. I loved the hand drawn maps, the tidbits of history, and the personal stories. It really helped the small National Park of Crater Lake come alive.

While much of the park was under snow and you can receive all of the trail information from the ranger, I enjoyed reading the history and more details about the park. Highly recommend this book to anyone planning a trip to this beautiful vista!

When the family was planning a trip to Crater Lake last summer I spent a lot of time at the library and online looking for some good travel guides. For my wife an me, planning our trips is part of the adventure so I enjoy the research aspect as well. With an exhaustive search, I landed on this book. It is exceptional. Well laid out, great historical information, fantastic trail/hike descriptions and lots of interesting facts. If you are only going to purchase one book on Crater Lake I strongly recommend this one.

This is a great little guide to the trails of Crater Lake National Park and a few outside of the park. The author covers some of the park's history, ecology and even some geology. All in all the trail descriptions are easy to follow and the pictures and overviews make this a nice souvenir.

Going there next week. Book has all the information we need. Now we just hope that most of the trails aren't closed due to wildfires.

This is a very detailed guide of some great hiking trails at Crater Lake. It also contains some other interesting information about the park. William Sullivan delivers again, this being the 4th book of his I own.

Gift so difficult to rate. Recipient seemed pleased.

We are so pleased with this book. William Sullivan is our "go to" for Oregon hiking guides but we were pleased to find this clear, thorough, but concise book for Glacier. So helpful!
